Everything You Need to Know Before From Episode 8 Season 4
Donna survived her heart attack only for the rest of us to experience our own in Episode 7 of From Season 4.
- I’d been wondering if Kenny might die — not this episode specifically, but this season on the whole. Just on the basis that he’d be a devastating blow and leave us all shaken up. But the way he almost went in Episode 7 would’ve been too much. A hero’s death — at the hands of the smiling man, no less — after a miscalculation that initially felt hopeful. Thank goodness for this episode’s big hero. Otherwise, Kenny would’ve broken everyone’s hearts.
- Fatima for the win! Turns out, she’s the golem! Or maybe the smiling man is technically her golem, since it seems she can control him on some level. Either way, what an unexpected turn. This the show’s first unequivocally positive development in ages — if not the first ever in From history. Of course, it’s a positive thing until everyone finds out and loses their minds.
- Speaking of people losing it, Henry is a mess. Sophia/The Man in the Yellow Suit has their hooks in him. No way he survives this season. My only concern with that is how Victor will handle it all. Worried for the poor guy. As for Henry, I don’t think anyone will miss him much. (That said, he shouldn’t be the only death this season — he’s not big enough of a character to be the only one.)
- Tabitha needs to figure out her deal. This time, she reminded everyone why she’s the most frustrating character on the show by losing her cool with Victor. I get that she’s got a lot going on, and she didn’t ask for a third kid to take care of, but she did wrong by him.
- Not to be lost in all of this, everyone now knows about Jade and Tabitha’s cycle of reincarnation. The fact so many people are having a tough time accepting this development is frustrating. That said, there’s a level to which it makes sense. Plenty of the peripheral characters aren’t that bright, as we’ve seen over and over again. As much as they’ve all been taken captive by this place, they’ve shown on multiple occasions that doesn’t mean they can necessarily accept other bizarre developments. Still, very frustrating.
