Athletics vs. Milwaukee Brewers prediction, pick for MLB on Wednesday 6/10/26

The Brewers and Athletics reach Wednesday in Las Vegas with the series already fully detached from normal baseball. Milwaukee won 15-14 in 12 innings Monday, then Oakland answered with a 7-5 win Tuesday. The two games have produced 41 runs and 17 homers, with the Athletics tying a franchise record by hitting 12 homers across two nights. That is the entire setup before the board even enters the conversation. The park is playing hot, the weather is hotter, and every inning feels one airborne mistake from becoming stupid again. Below is my preview, prediction, and pick for today’s baseball game between the Athletics and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Here’s how I’ll play it. I’ll be pumping out these predictions for individual games all season, with plenty of coverage here on DraftKings Network. Follow my handle @dansby_edits for more betting plays.

Athletics vs. Brewers prediction, preview

The environment has earned every bit of that 14.5 total. Las Vegas Ballpark is sitting near 101 degrees, with clear skies, dry air, and wind around 13 mph. The park already played hitter-friendly before MLB arrived, with Triple-A bats producing a .290/.376/.487 slash there since 2025. They also averaged 6.87 runs and 1.47 homers per game, both above the Pacific Coast League baseline. Milwaukee has scored 15 and five in the first two games here, after scoring nine, seven, and 12 in Colorado. The Brewers have been living in altitude baseball for almost a week.

Brandon Sproat gives Oakland the more obvious offensive path, which explains the heavy Athletics team-total tax. He is 1-4 with a 6.17 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, 55 hits, 29 walks, and 11 homers allowed across 54 innings. His contact sheet backs the surface damage, with a .380 wOBA allowed, .361 expected wOBA, 43.4% hard-hit rate, and 9.9% barrel rate. Oakland’s lineup has made that profile terrifying this week. Nick Kurtz has homered in both games, Tyler Soderstrom has gone deep three times, and Zack Gelof owns a 14-game hitting streak.

That Oakland path is why the full-game side and total carry so much danger. The Athletics can punch back against anyone in this building right now, especially with Kurtz, Shea Langeliers, Brent Rooker, Soderstrom, Max Muncy, and Gelof available. Kurtz owns 15 homers, a .249 isolated power, .418 wOBA, and 166 wRC+. Langeliers has 17 homers, a .252 isolated power, .381 wOBA, and 141 wRC+. Soderstrom brings 11 homers and a 118 wRC+, while Gelof adds eight homers, six steals, and recent barrel confidence. Milwaukee’s better season-long staff can still get dragged into this park’s nonsense.

Jack Perkins makes the Brewers’ run case more interesting than his ERA alone suggests. He enters 2-3 with a 6.19 ERA, but his 1.28 WHIP, 39 strikeouts, nine walks, and two homers allowed point to a sturdier arm. His underlying contact is stronger, too, with a .305 wOBA allowed, .288 expected wOBA, 34.4% hard-hit rate, and 5.6% barrel rate. The problem is context and workload. Perkins recently moved out of the bullpen, threw 75 pitches in his first start, and now faces Milwaukee in brutal heat. A good shape can still bend in this park once the order sees him twice.

Brewers vs. Athletics pick, best bet

Milwaukee’s lineup gives that team total its best case because the Brewers can score without chasing Oakland’s homer binge. Brice Turang has 10 homers, 11 steals, a .273/.393/.476 line, .203 isolated power, .380 wOBA, and 144 wRC+. Jake Bauers adds 12 homers, a .283/.383/.525 line, .242 isolated power, and 153 wRC+. Jackson Chourio brings a .301 average, .496 slugging percentage, five homers, five steals, and 138 wRC+. William Contreras has 70 hits, a .286 average, 42 RBI, and a 13.6% strikeout rate. Christian Yelich, Garrett Mitchell, and Sal Frelick lengthen the pressure with walks, doubles, speed, and contact.

The board gives a better answer through Milwaukee’s full-game scoring than through the obvious chaos markets. Over 14.5 is priced at -123, which forces us to pay for the joke after 41 runs. Athletics team total over 6.5 is stronger on paper, but -135 is too expensive. Both teams 3+ runs first five at +110 is the fun swing, though it needs very specific timing against Perkins. Brewers hits over 11.5 at -110 is live, but walks and homers can cash eight runs without producing 12 hits. Milwaukee team total over 7.5 at -105 keeps the price clean, uses the whole park, and gets the Athletics bullpen after Perkins.

Best bet: Brewers team total over 7.5 runs at -105. Playable to -115.

Projected score: Brewers 9, Athletics 8.

Best bet: Brewers TT o7.5 runs (-105) vs. Athletics
