Miami Marlins team total over 4.5 runs (+120) vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
Gallen is in the midst of one of the worst seasons of his career with no signs of improvement. Through 64.1 innings and 13 starts, he owns a 5.32 ERA with a 5.47 xERA and a 5.02 FIP. His K/9 is the lowest of his career at 6, and he is also allowing a 45% hard-hit rate. Then he goes on the road, like tonight, and it gets even worse. He has a 7.57 ERA with a .431 wOBA and a 6.66 (yikes) FIP. A matchup against the Marlins may not look imposing on paper, but this isn’t a great spot for Gallen.
His fastball has been his biggest issue, as opposing hitters have tagged it for a .507 wOBA, a .333 ISO, and a 59% hard-hit rate. The Marlins devour this pitch, and tonight’s expected lineup has a combined .407 wOBA with a .212 ISO. Once Gallen is out, the Diamondbacks bullpen will take over, and they’ve had their struggles as well. Over the past week, they’ve posted a 6.62 ERA with an xERA of 7.82 and a 5.09 FIP over 17.2 innings. When you put all this together and offer +120 on the Marlins to score at least five runs, I’m taking it.
Julio Rodriguez 2+ Total Bases (-107) vs. Baltimore Orioles
Rodriguez draws a strong matchup against Orioles starter Trevor Rogers. Rogers reverted to his days in a Marlins uniform during May, posting a 10.31 ERA with a .422 wOBA and a 6.76 FIP. When opposing hitters were making contact, they were doing so with power, as 13 of the 24 hits he allowed went for extra bases. This is a big reason why I like Rodriguez, who has a .333 ISO against lefties. Winds will be blowing out toward left field on a hot and humid night in Baltimore, which will help the ball carry.

Adrian Houser over 2.5 earned runs allowed (-101) vs. Washington Nationals
I was on this play last night, and it didn’t cash, but I’m going right back to the well again tonight. They’re taking on Adrian Houser, who has horrific numbers against lefties throughout his career. 2026 is no different, as he comes into tonight with a .452 wOBA, a 6.20 FIP, and seven of the 10 home runs he’s allowed. Even in a pitcher’s ballpark like Oracle Park, Houser has a .497 wOBA with a 4.91 FIP against lefties. The Nationals will be loaded up with lefties tonight and will hopefully do what they did to him the last time he faced them. Through 5.2 innings, Houser allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits.
