Love Island UK Episode 5 Recap 6/8/26
After a handful of chats, the islanders gathered for the first recoupling of Season 13. Priya and Aidan’s brother Kavan, who arrived as bombshells on Day 4, were given the first picks. They could choose from any of the islanders, as well as Ellie and Samraj. Yasmin and George seemingly dumped Ellie and Samraj in Episode 3, but they were welcomed back for second chances. If Priya and Aidan didn’t pick Ellie or Samraj in this recoupling, they would get sent home for good. Kavan chose Ellie and Priya picked Samraj, though, so both islanders were safe.
Yasmin was up next, and she chose to couple up with Aidan. Aidan was initially coupled up with Ellie before Yasmin and George dumped her, and now Ellie is with Aidan’s brother. A similar dynamic played out with Mica, who started out with Samraj before Yasmin and George dumped him. In this recoupling, she picked George – much to Robyn’s dismay. Lola and Sean stayed together, as did Angelista and Ope and Jasmine and Lorenzo. Robyn chose Sam to round out the recoupling, although she made it very clear that they were in a friendship couple.
George pulled Robyn for a chat to sort through their dynamic. Robyn asked George for a kiss and, after some pushback from the professional soccer player, they did get intimate on The Terrace. Robyn came clean about the kiss to Mica, who told her it was fine but then acted far less comfortable with the development with the other islanders. Mica then confronted George about it and made her feelings clear. There was additional drama between Ellie and Aidan, since Ellie was upset that Aidan moved on from her that no one readily admitted how physical things had already gotten between him and Yasmin. Aidan said he thought there was unfinished business, but Ellie made it clear that he had burned the bridge.
