Jalen Brunson 25+ Points (-154): Brunson has led the Knicks to a dominant 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals as the scene shifts to Madison Square Garden on Monday night. Brunson had 30 points in 37 minutes in Game 1 and followed that up with 20 points in Game 2. While his scoring was down, he added five steals, six assists, and five rebounds to still put together a solid all-around game in the team’s win. He scored at least 25 points in six of his last 10 contests and is averaging 26.6 points per game in his 16 playoff games. During the regular season, he averaged 27.5 points per game at home, and he’s sure to be fired up in front of a raucous home crowd in Game 3 this Monday.
Karl-Anthony Towns Over 29.5 Points + Rebounds (107): Towns has been another key contributor for the Knicks this postseason, averaging 17.2 points and 10.8 rebounds for 28 points and rebounds in his 16 postseason contests. He had 30 points and rebounds in Game 1, followed by 34 points and rebounds in Game 2. He has gone over this prop line in three straight and four of his last five, and he’ll continue to carry the load against Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs. Mitchell Robinson (finger) isn’t on the injury report, but he hasn’t been forced to miss any time with a fractured metacarpal in his right hand. He may be slightly limited, though, which gives KAT even more work available for Monday’s matchup.
Victor Wembanyama 1st Points Scorer (+302): These are extremely short odds for first points scorer at just over 3:1, but Wemby has been scoring the first point in the Spurs’ games at an extremely high rate in the postseason. Wembanyama scored the first bucket in six of his last 15 games. In Game 1, Brunson had the first basket, and Wembanyama answered right back with San Antonio’s first basket of the game. In Game 2, Devin Vassell had the first basket, and Wemby didn’t get on the board until almost five minutes into the game, when the score was 15-10. The Spurs will need Wemby to be aggressive and more assertive in Game 3, so he could be aggressive right away. The Spurs have won the tip in 86.7% of their last 30 games, and the two teams have split the two tip-offs in this series. The Knicks won the tip-off in only 50% of their last 30 games. In the last round, Wemby had the first points in Game 4 and in the pivotal Game 7 against the Thunder, and he’ll need to lead his team in a big comeback if he doesn’t want to let his first chance at the NBA Finals to slip away.
