Dearica Hamby Under 10.5 Rebounds & Assists (-119)
While this would not have been one of my top guesses for the most popular prop bets on today’s slate, plenty of DraftKings Sportsbook users are backing Dearica Hamby to record under 10.5 combined rebounds and assists tonight. The three-time All-Star is averaging 7.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game on the season. The Sparks will be taking on the Portland Fire tonight, and for the first time this season. Portland ranks second in the WNBA in rebounds allowed, but it has some flaws in its overall defense. So far this season, Hamby has been held to under 10.5 combined rebounds and assists in six of her 10 games played, including three straight entering tonight. The Sparks are comfortable 7.5-point favorites in tonight’s matchup, and they are looking to snap a three-game losing skid. Hamby has seen her workload scaled back a bit and logged under 30 minutes in each of these losses. You cannot produce when you aren’t on the court, and DraftKings users are backing this trend to continue, with Hamby held under 10.5 rebounds and assists for the fourth straight game and seventh time this season.
Kamilla Cardoso to Record a Double-Double (+132)
The Chicago Sky will face off with the Toronto Tempo in the early portion of today’s slate, and for the second time this season. Kamilla Cardoso helps headline the production for Chicago, posting averages of 12.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per game on the season. She had her worst game of the season in the first matchup of the season with the Tempo, finishing with just two points and five rebounds. Overall, Cardoso has tallied a double-double in five of the 10 games played. Toronto ranks 14th in the league in opponent points allowed, 14th in defensive rating, 13th in rebounds per game and 10th in rebounds allowed. Cardoso has been handed the keys to the interior production on the Sky following the offseason trade of Angel Reese. She has largely risen to the challenge this season and will look for better results in her second matchup against this Tempo team.
Carla Leite to Record 15+ Points (-124)
Carla Leite has emerged as the face of the Portland Fire, leading the team with 14.4 points per game. Portland will face the Los Angeles Sparks tonight, who rank last in the league in opponent points allowed, 15th in defensive rating and 14th in opponent field-goal percentage. Leite and the Fire will be facing off with Los Angeles for the first time this season, but she scored 15+ points in two of the three matchups against the Sparks last year while playing a much smaller role on the Golden State Valkyries. Leite has scored 15+ points in six of the 10 games played this season, and this is the most favorable matchup she has seen. Los Angeles has bled points all season, and Leite will lead the scoring charge for the Fire once again tonight.
