BREAK IT DOWN:
(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Kyle Schwarber 1+ Home Run (+221): The public is backing Schwarber in his afternoon matchup as his Phillies host the White Sox. Schwarber didn’t homer on Friday but did go 4-for-5 with four singles to help the Phillies to an 8-6 win. He still leads the majors with 23 homers this season, with 12 of those homers coming in his last 23 games. In those, he has a 55.6% hard-hit rate and an impressive 25.9% barrel rate. Of his 23 homers this season, 14 have come at home at Citizens Bank Park and 16 have been off right-handed pitchers. He’ll face lefty Brandon Eisert to start the game, but righty Sean Burke is expected to handle most of the innings. Burke has been solid on the road, but Schwarber still has the potential to go yard given his excellent form.
Juan Soto 1+ Home Run (+337): Soto has 13 homers on the season, including nine in his last 23 games. Soto has a 50% hard-hit rate and 14.5% barrel rate during that span and will be taking on his former team at Petco Park on Saturday night. He’ll face former Met Griffin Canning, who has allowed six homers in six starts with a 7.16 ERA and 1.55 WHIP. Soto is 2-for-3 with a homer against Canning in their past meetings, and the public thinks he has a good chance to go yard in one of the late games
Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Run (+257): Ohtani is also facing his former team, taking on the Angels in the second game in this chapter of the Freeway Series. Ohtani has 10 homers on the season but hasn’t gone yard in the last six games. He is 11-for-26 (.423) over that span with a .455 wOBA, 72.2% hard-hit rate and 5.6% barrel rate, so he is still making great contact, even though he hasn’t been able to get one out of the park. He didn’t homer in his earlier series this season against the Angels, but he has five homers in his 14 games against the Halos in his career. On Saturday, he’ll take on Jack Kochanowicz ($5,700), who has been much improved this year, with six homers allowed in 12 starts. Ohtani is 2-for-4 with a double against him in the past, but he hasn’t homered off him to this point in thie careers.
3-Pick Same Game Parlay
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a same game parlay (SGP) and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
