Jordan Walker is so back. After a turbulent start to his MLB career, the speedy Cardinals outfielder has fully taken off, emerging as one of the top hitters in the National League. Walker, 24, is hitting .301 with a .921 OPS, 16 home runs, and 46 RBIs — tied for sixth in MLB — through 61 games in 2026.
Walker went yard during Saturday’s 6–5 win over the Reds, and he’s gone a sensational 9-for-18 (.500) with three RBIs and four runs scored over his last four games. He should stay hot against returning Cincinnati right-hander Rhett Lowder, who posted a 5.40 ERA (5.07 xERA) in eight starts before landing on the injured list with a shoulder injury in early May.
Kyle Schwarber 2+ Total Bases (-109)
The White Sox switched up their game plan late Saturday night, penciling in southpaw Tyler Gilbert to open Sunday’s series finale with the Phillies. Gilbert has struggled in limited action this season, coughing up six earned runs, two homers, and three walks in his first 2.2 innings. He replaces originally scheduled starter David Sandlin (8.10 ERA in 10 IP), though the rookie right-hander may still handle bulk relief.
Whoever’s on the mound for Chicago will face an SAT-level test in star slugger Kyle Schwarber. The perennial All-Star leads MLB with 23 home runs, currently on pace for 59, and owns an OPS north of .920 against both lefties and righties. He’ll look to continue his success against Gilbert after doubling in their lone matchup last year.

Jacob deGrom is coming off a strong start against the Cardinals, racking up eight strikeouts across five shutout innings. But while the two-time Cy Young is tailoring another impressive season, he has finished with fewer than 6.5 Ks in five of his 12 outings — including three of his last four. To begin that stretch, deGrom recorded only four strikeouts against the Astros before managing just three punchouts against the Angels.
It seems unlikely that the five-time All-Star surpasses his strikeout line on Sunday against Cleveland, which owns the sixth-lowest K-rate in the majors (20.7%). Only four Guardians were sat down during Saturday’s 6–0 drubbing of the Rangers.
