The New York Knicks are surely happy to hold a 1-0 lead in the 2026 NBA Finals after an impressive comeback in the series opener. On Friday night, they’re set to run it back again in San Antonio against the Spurs. In a matchup with the league’s premier big man, Karl-Anthony Towns’ play will prove crucial once again if his team is to take a commanding hold on the series.

Here are the top Karl-Anthony Towns prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Friday’s Knicks vs. Spurs Game 2 in the NBA Finals.

Best Karl-Anthony Towns prop bets

It’s no coincidence that the two years of Karl-Anthony Towns on the Knicks have been two of the best seasons in recent franchise history. The big man’s counting stats dipped in the regular season since he played four fewer minutes a night than he did last year, but his impact is undeniable. He averaged 20.1 points and 11.9 rebounds per game while pitching in 3.0 assists as well, shooting 50.1% from the field and 36.8% from deep. With his help, New York cruised to the third seed in the Eastern Conference and has been a force in the NBA Playoffs.

In the postseason, Towns’ overall production has dropped off a little more, but he’s seen just 30.5 minutes a night after his team dominated several games and sent starters to the bench early. He’s averaging 17.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists a game with 2.4 combined stocks. His shooting splits are the most impressive aspect of his performance, hitting 56.2% of his shots and 46.8% of his attempts from beyond the arc. With a 69.7% TS%, he’s looking the part of an elite scorer even if his points tally isn’t the highest.

Tonight, DraftKings Sportsbook lists Towns’ prop bet lines at O/U 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 three pointers. His combined PTS + REB + AST line comes in at 31.5.

In Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Towns produced 18 points, 12 rebounds and four assists with a 7-for-15 shooting night, though he failed to knock down either of his two three-point attempts. He was notably a +14 in the +/- column. While the regular-season sample means less at this stage of the year, he posted lines of 12 points with 14 boards and 20 points with seven boards in two other meetings against the Spurs this season. Over three matchups, he averages 16.7 points, 11.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 50.0% overall and 25.0% from deep.

Bettors looking for a reliable prop for Towns tonight should look no further than over 3.5 assists. While the big man is known more for his rebounding and scoring than his passing, his chops as a distributor have been on full display during this postseason run. He’s averaging 5.7 dimes a night and has flashed an ability to find the open man when he can’t get a shot off, whether on a backdoor cut or for the corner three. Towns now has at least four assists in 12 of his 15 games during this playoff run, which is a hit rate of 80%.

However, scaling this line up to 5+ assists makes a little bit more sense in this game. The ball will be in the hands of Jalen Brunson more often than not, but beyond him, Towns should get plenty of work himself. However, making plays in the paint will prove difficult with Victor Wembanyama terrorizing whatever players dare to enter. With the Knicks’ star big man doing so much of his damage near the basket, it may be tougher for him to score, which could force him to dish the ball out to teammates more often. He’s reached five assists or more in nine games so far this postseason and the prop has better value with plus odds compared to the standard over/under on his assists line.

Best bet: Karl-Anthony Towns 5+ assists (+142)
