There was no shortage of scoring to open the 2026 Stanley Cup Final as the Vegas Golden Knights and Carolina Hurricanes combined for a grand total of nine goals. The biggest question is whether the underdog can hang on to their newfound momentum after Vegas took a 1-0 series lead, but we’re simply rooting for more offense in this betting market ahead of Game 2.

Best anytime goal scorer props for Stanley Cup Final Game 2
Pavel Dorofeyev anytime goal scorer (+225)
I wrote up over 2.5 shots on goal for Golden Knights winger Pavel Dorofeyev as a top prop bet for tonight’s game. Here, I’m sticking with the star as a best bet in the anytime goal scorer market. Here’s a brief blurb bettors may want to hear:
The winger led the roster with 37 goals during the regular season and finished second in shots on goal with 230, good for an average of 2.80 per game. His success has continued during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, ranking second on the team with 10 goals and tying for the lead in shot attempts with 45.
The shot volume and track record for Dorofeyev as a finisher both look great, as does a very clean 22.2% shooting percentage. That’s elite, and while it may be a smidge elevated, he should be in line to light the lamp again soon. The winger hasn’t scored a goal in his last four games despite logging 10 shot attempts over that span. He also just recorded three shots on goal in Game 1 of this series, so maybe he has the answer to cracking a Carolina defense that typically keeps opposing volume down. He’s the favorite to score from the Vegas roster, but there’s plenty of reason to pick Dorofeyev here.
Jordan Martinook anytime goal scorer (+550)
To be clear, Jordan Martinook is a long-shot play for a goal in Game 2. However, the +550 odds on his anytime goalscorer prop are intriguing to me. The veteran has never recorded 20+ goals in a regular season and scored just 12 during his most recent campaign over the sample of 77 games… not so hot, right? However, he shot 11.0% on his attempts, his second straight campaign of a double-digit shooting percentage after hitting at a 13.4% clip last year. Martinook has 29 shots on goal during these Stanley Cup Playoffs, good for sixth most among Carolina skaters. He’s only found the back of the net one time despite the volume though, good for a measly shooting percentage of only 3.4%. That feels too low to be sustainable if he keeps putting attempts on the opposing netminder. Martinook has two or more shots on goal in nine games this postseason, so it’s more likely than not he sees a couple of chances.
