The PGA TOUR heads toย Muirfield Village Golf Club (par 72, 7,569 yards, bentgrass greens) in Dublin, Ohio, for the Memorial Tournament. The Jack Nicklaus-designed Muirfield Village has been the home of the Memorial since it was added to the PGA TOUR schedule in 1976. The Memorial is the seventh of eight Signature Events this season, so this tournament features a $20 million purse. There will be 72 golfers competing and a top-50 and ties cut after the first two rounds, so the majority of the field will be advancing.
Below, I have featured a cut parlay to consider for the Memorial Tournament.
Memorial Tournament Cut Parlay
- Ryan Fox to make the cut (-215)
- Brandt Snedeker to make the cut (-194)
- Billy Horschel to make the cut (-174)
Ryan Fox to make the cut
Fox has only missed two cuts in his last 16 starts worldwide. The professional out of New Zealand last competed at the PGA Championship, when he finished T35th at the difficult Aronimink GC. Except with his putter, Fox gained strokes in every major category and he closed the major with a 1-under 69. Fox now travels to Muirfield Village, where he has finished MC, T30th and T20th in three starts. Fox ranks top-40 in SGT2G and par four performance this season, and him making the cut this at Muirfield Village this week shouldn’t be much of a challenge.
Brant Snedeker to make the cut
Snedeker has made 3-of-4 cuts at Muirfield Village. The veteran finished T7th at this venue last season and Snedeker now returns to the track 303 spots higher in the world golf rankings. Snedeker just won the Myrtle Beach Classic last month and he has only missed one cut in his last six starts. That one missed cut is rather excusable, too, as it came at the challenging Aronimink for the PGA Championship. Snedeker just finished T28th at the Charles Schwab Challenge this past week and he gained 2.32 strokes on approach, which led the field and set a career high for Snedeker. If he can continue to strike the ball well at Muirfield Village, Snedeker should have no trouble making the cut.
Billy Horschel to make the cut
Horschel has been awesome at Muirfield Village throughout his career. The former Florida Gator won by four shots at Jack’s Place in 2022 and he has made 8-of-11 cuts at the par 72 with six finishes inside the top-15. Horschel ranks 12th in this field in strokes gained per round at Muirfield Village and the veteran has made 11-of-16 cuts this season. Horschel finished T42nd at the Charles Schwab Challenge last week and outside of with his putter, he gained strokes in every major category at Colonial CC, so Horschel’s game is trending in the right direction just in time for his return to Muirfield Village.
