Fan runs onto court to take selfie with Victor Wembanyama during Game 1 of NBA Finals

The 2026 NBA Finals are bringing us new things. A Spurs-Knicks matchup brings us the eighth different Finals matchup in eight years. Victor Wembanyama and Jalen Brunson make their Finals debuts. The first Finals games played at Madison Square Garden in 27 years is coming up. And something new entirely: a fan running on the court trying to get a selfie with Wemby.

Just after a timeout, this fan ran on the court looking for his moment. Security quickly took him off the floor, and he is likely to spend a night in jail for his trouble. In the midst of such an intense Finals game, it was a very stupid moment.

In case you need a reminder: don’t run on the court!!!
