There are two spots left in the men’s singles French Open semifinals. The winner of this match will take on the winner of Matteo Berrettini and Matteo Arnaldi’s match. It could be an all-Italian semifinal, or the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime could spoil the party. This should be a fantastic battle between two well-matched players.
Here is my pick, prediction and best bet on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday’s quarterfinal match between Felix Auger-Aliassime and Flavio Cobolli.
Felix Auger-Aliassime vs. Flavio Cobolli Preview
Felix Auger-Aliassime Preview
It has been a rollercoaster of a career for Felix Auger-Aliassime. He had a bright start, making a French Open quarterfinal at 20 years old in 2021 and following that up with a trip to the US Open semifinals just a few weeks later. However, Auger-Aliassime went through a rough stretch from late 2022 to early 2025. There were some good performances mixed in during those years, but his path to being one of the best players in the world seemed to have massively derailed. However, Auger-Aliassime made a run back to the US Open semifinals last year. That launched a run of results that Auger-Aliassime needed.
Felix Auger-Aliassime won the Open Occitanie earlier this year, his ninth career ATP title. He also made the final in Rotterdam a couple of weeks later. Auger-Aliassime also turned in good performances in Dubai, Indian Wells and Monte Carlo. He is now determined to make his third career major semifinal and even take things one step further by making his first-ever major final.
Flavio Cobolli Preview
This is Flavio Cobolli’s second career major quarterfinal, with the first coming at Wimbledon last year. Cobolli has been playing consistently great tennis over the past year and seemed to be on a trajectory to start making runs like this in majors. Cobolli won his first two career ATP titles in 2025, and he has since added another in 2026. He beat Frances Tiafoe to claim the title in Mexico in February. On clay, Cobolli made the final at the BMW Open and the quarterfinal in Madrid. He is now looking for what would be the biggest win of his career to advance to his first-ever major semifinal.
Felix Auger-Aliassime vs. Flavio Cobolli Best Bet
My pick to win this match is Felix Auger-Aliassime. The Canadian seems poised and ready to get back to the top of the sport. He has sniffed major finals in the past, but has not broken through. This wide-open Roland-Garros field seems like the perfect time for Auger-Aliassime to not only make his first major final but win his first major title. After a five-set marathon in the first round, Auger-Aliassime handled his business comfortably in the following rounds. That includes a dominant three-set win over Alejandro Tabilo in the fourth round. FAA should be fresh and come prepared to take down Flavio Cobolli. This is the time when big-match experience matters, and Auger-Aliassime has the edge in that department. I am backing him to get this big win and advance to the semifinals.
