Best anytime goal scorer props for Stanley Cup Final Game 1
Jack Eichel anytime goal scorer (+225)
The scoring has dried up for Jack Eichel in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Despite taking a team-high 42 shots on goal this postseason, the star center has only two goals to show for it. That comes out to a paltry 4.8% shooting percentage, far from what you want to see from your best player. Here’s the thing, though. Eichel has 13 goals in 20 career games against the Hurricanes, also amassing 83 shot attempts in that span. Now, does that mean a ton given the various goalies who he’s played against over that sample? That’s debatable, but he does tend to perform quite well against Carolina and has four more goals against the franchise than the next-closest Vegas skater. Plus, three of those goals came in his two games vs. the Canes this season. With high shot volume this postseason and awesome teammates alongside him on the top line, tonight could be the night he gets his third goal of thus run.
Sebastian Aho anytime goal scorer (+265)
By the same logic as in the Eichel section above, Sebastian Aho makes for a nice anytime goal scorer pick. He potted 27 goals in the regular season and has another four goals across his 13 postseason games in this run as well. Now, his shot volume isn’t anything wild with just 26 across that span for an average of 2.0 per game, but he’s been pretty efficient with his looks at a 15.4% shooting percentage. Beyond that, he gets a ton of TOI at over 21 minutes a game and has a standout track record against Vegas. He scored once in two games against the Golden Knights this season and leads all Carolina skaters with seven goals in 15 appearances in this particular matchup. He has 56 total shots on goal in that span as well, with three of his goals coming on the power play. Aho brings plenty of potential into tonight’s contest and makes for a fantastic selection in this market.
