Arizona Diamondbacks team total over 3.5 runs (-110) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Emmet Sheehan will face the Diamondbacks for the second time this season tonight. In his first start, he allowed four runs on five hits through 3.1 innings against the D-Backs. I don’t think it was a fluke, as this lineup matches up well against Sheehan. He’s a very heavy fastball pitcher, and this lineup has been elite against that pitch. Tonight’s expected lineup has a combined .367 wOBA with a .245 ISO against it. Sheehan also has trouble against lefties, as they’ve tagged him for a .377 wOBA with a 5.12 FIP and seven of the nine home runs he’s allowed. The D-Backs can load up on lefties, especially near the top of the lineup. I wouldn’t be surprised to see at least five of them in the lineup.
CJ Abrams 2+ Total Bases (+125) vs. Miami Marlins
Sandy Alcantara is set to take the hill for the Marlins tonight, and he hasn’t been sharp lately, as he’s allowed at least six runs in three of his last five starts. Over that span, he did face the Nationals and held them to just two runs through six innings. However, Alcantara has been much better at home than he has on the road, which he is tonight. Lefties have been his biggest issue, posting a .367 wOBA with a 5.06 FIP and seven of the nine home runs he’s allowed. It gets even worse on the road, where he’s allowed a .425 wOBA with a 5.84 FIP. Abrams is posting some monster numbers at home against righties with a .410 wOBA, a .276 ISO, and a 165 wRC+.

Kyle Freeland under 16.5 outs recorded (-127) vs. Los Angeles Angels
I’m just going to keep betting on Kyle Freeland’s outs total until this isn’t playable anymore. The under has been cashing for over a month now, and tonight looks to be no different. His outs total is currently set at 16.5, so for us to win this bet, he can’t complete more than 5.2 innings. He hasn’t reached that total in six straight starts! In fact, Freeland hasn’t made it through even five innings in three straight starts. Over that span, he’s allowed 18 runs on 24 hits through 12.1 innings. Now he’ll face a good hitting ballclub against lefties in the Angels. Tonight’s expected lineup has a combined .348 wOBA with a .200 ISO against left-handed pitching this season. Until Freeland shows he can pitch deep into games, this is almost an automatic play for me.
