The weather is heating up and so are the sneaker releases with summer season kicking off with a Caitlin Clark Kobe PE, A Ma Maniére’s take on the Nike Pegasus Premium and more.

Top Sneaker Drop of June 2026: Nike Kobe 5 Protro x Caitlin Clark Coconut Milk and Bright Spruce

It’s been something of a rough stretch for Caitlin Clark, as she shot just 3-of-12 for 16 points vs. the Valkyries on May 28 and 1-of-7 for 6 points on May 30 vs. the Fire, with her frustration on full display for all to see.
Perhaps the turnaround for Caitlin will begin with the release of her Kobe 5 Protro on June 2. This isn’t Caitlin’s first Kobe PE to release, as it follows her Rookie of the Year Kobe 5 Protro in April, her Indiana Fever Kobe 5 Protro last June and her Kobe 6 Protro from last November. But there’s no denying that combining the WNBA’s most prominent player with the legendary Kobe line usually means success.
The Kobe 5, designed by Eric Avar, utilized a low-top design inspired by Kobe’s love of soccer and featured Zoom Air cushioning, carbon fiber and a reinforced heel cup for more of a lockdown fit. As I’ve noted in the past, Kobe insisted that for retro releases of his past models he wanted them improved to meet modern performance standards, so Nike notes that the Caitlin Clark Kobe 5 Protro PE has been fitted with a flexible Air Zoom unit and scaled-down traction for optimal court feel.
As for the colorway, the upper is made of what Nike is calling Coconut Milk with Bright Spruce green accents, giving the shoe “a high-gloss finish that glistens under the spotlight.” It should be noted that the logo designed for Caitlin’s forthcoming signature model does not look like it will appear on the shoe.
