MLB Probable Pitchers Today: Full Starting Pitcher Matchups for June 1, 2026

Monday’s slate features a lighter schedule, highlighted by Chase Burns continuing his dominant run for Cincinnati, Joe Ryan carrying a strong stretch into Minnesota’s matchup with the White Sox, and Jacob deGrom looking to rebound from a rocky May for Texas.

Detroit Tigers vs. Tampa Bay Rays Probable Pitchers

  • Detroit Tigers: Ty Madden
  • Tampa Bay Rays: Griffin Jax
  • Time: 6:40 PM ET

Madden will be activated off the IL ahead of this start after dealing with a forearm issue. Since entering the rotation, Jax owns a 1.71 ERA with a 3.21 FIP and a 7.3 K/9 through 21 innings.

Miami Marlins vs. Washington Nationals Probable Pitchers

  • Miami Marlins: Sandy Alcantara
  • Washington Nationals: Cade Cavalli
  • Time: 6:45 PM ET

Over his last two starts, Alcantara has allowed 14 runs on 19 hits, including five home runs, through 11.2 innings. Cavalli has struck out at least seven in three straight starts.

Kansas City Royals vs. Cincinnati Reds Probable Pitchers

  • Kansas City Royals: Luinder Avila
  • Cincinnati Reds: Chase Burns
  • Time: 7:10 PM ET

Avila will join the rotation after mainly working out of the bullpen through 10 appearances. Burns has been nearly untouchable, posting a 1.96 ERA with an xERA of 2.88 through 11 starts.

Chicago White Sox vs. Minnesota Twins Probable Pitchers

  • Chicago White Sox: David Sandlin
  • Minnesota Twins: Joe Ryan
  • Time: 7:40 PM ET

Sandlin will face the Twins for the second time. In his MLB debut, Sandlin allowed one run on one hit with four strikeouts against them last week. Ryan hasn’t allowed more than two earned runs in six straight starts.

San Francisco Giants vs. Milwaukee Brewers Probable Pitchers

  • San Francisco Giants: Landen Roupp
  • Milwaukee Brewers: Shane Drohan
  • Time: 7:40 PM ET

Roupp has at least seven strikeouts in six of his 11 starts this season. Drohan will likely serve as an extended opener for this game.

Texas Rangers vs. St. Louis Cardinals Probable Pitchers

  • Texas Rangers: Jacob deGrom
  • St. Louis Cardinals: Michael McGreevey
  • Time: 7:45 PM ET

deGrom struggled in May, posting a 5.72 ERA with a .332 wOBA while allowing nine of his 13 home runs. McGreevey continues to post some crazy splits, with a 2.98 ERA and an xERA of 5.63 through 60.1 innings.

Colorado Rockies vs. Los Angeles Angels Probable Pitchers

  • Colorado Rockies: Kyle Freeland
  • Los Angeles Angels: Jose Soriano
  • Time: 9:38 PM ET

Freeland has allowed at least six earned runs in four of his last five starts. Soriano has been extremely shaky with his command lately, issuing 11 walks over his last three starts.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Probable Pitchers

  • Los Angeles Dodgers: Emmet Sheehan
  • Arizona Diamondbacks: Eduardo Rodriguez
  • Time: 9:40 PM ET

Sheehan has struggled on the road, posting a 6.52 ERA with a .386 wOBA and a 5.70 FIP. Rodriguez was stellar in May, posting a 1.60 ERA with a .259 wOBA and a 2.65 FIP.
