The Parlay Prince has struck gold.
A DraftKings bettor, known as the Parlay Prince, turned $2,500 into $1.7 million after the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday night to advance to the NBA Finals.
One of the greatest parlay wins in DraftKings history featured a long and winding road, one that crossed both hardwood and ice.
The first leg hit all the way back in February, when Team USA men’s hockey won the gold medal over Canada at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. A few months later, the bet slip hit the halfway point when Michigan took down UConn for the men’s basketball national championship.
Then the Knicks went on one of the greatest runs in NBA history, reaching the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999. And on Saturday night, the Spurs topped it off by conquering the defending NBA champs.
You know, all pretty basic stuff.
