Tonight at 10:10 p.m. ET, the Seattle Mariners host the Arizona Diamondbacks in the second of a three-game series. The Mariners won the first game of the series against the Diamondbacks 7-6 in extra innings as the game went 10 innings. Seattle enters this contest on a four-game winning streak, while the Diamondbacks are 5-1 in their previous six contests. The Diamondbacks have won four of the previous five matchups against the Mariners.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Mariners are a -157 favorite with the Diamondbacks being +130 to pull off the upset. Check out my preview and best bet for tonight’s Diamondbacks vs. Mariners game.

Diamondbacks vs. Mariners prediction, preview

Tonight’s pitching matchup is Ryne Nelson vs. Bryan Woo. The Mariners starter, Woo, is 4-3 on the season with a 3.82 ERA, while Nelson’s record stands at 2-3 with a 4.65 ERA. In two of his four starts in May, Woo hasn’t allowed a run, but has given up four, two, and six runs in the three other outings. Nelson has allowed three-plus runs in two of his previous three starts. In Nelson’s last start against the Rockies, he gave up one run and struck out three batters in eight innings.

This season, the Mariners are 15-15 at home while the Diamondbacks have a 13-15 record on the road. Arizona has a better team batting average (.249 vs. .233), more runs (261 vs. 247), and more hits (466 vs. 448) than Seattle.

Arizona has been led by Ildemaro Vargas and Corbin Carroll, who have both hit seven home runs this season, with Vargas batting .295 and Carroll .294. Randy Arozarena has the best batting average (.297) on the Mariners. Luke Raley (12) and Julio Rodriguez (11) are Seattle’s two players with double-digit home runs.

Diamondbacks vs. Mariners pick, best bet

The Diamondbacks haven’t lost back-to-back games since May 13. Following their previous three losses, Arizona has scored at least five runs. Also, the Diamondbacks’ seven runs allowed on Friday were the most they had allowed since May 12. The Diamondbacks have won four of the previous five matchups against the Mariners.

Best Bet: Arizona Diamondbacks Moneyline (+130)
