It’s been three games since Seth Jarvis scored his last goal, which came in the series opener against Montreal. Since then, he’s recorded eight shots on goal to bring his tally to 13 across the four games of this series, good for over three attempts per game. That’s the kind of volume we want to see from the young standout, especially after a quiet round one in terms of shooting. Since the start of the second round, he’s put at least three pucks on the net in six of his eight outings, including four games of four or more shots. All that is to say — Jarvis should probably have more than two goals in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He has a total of 30 shots on goal and a shooting percentage of just 6.7%. That number should come up soon, so tonight feels like as good a chance as any given his aggressiveness recently.
Logan Stankoven anytime goal scorer (+235)
What if we told you the Hurricanes’ postseason leader in goals and shot attempts comes into this matchup at sixth on the odds leaderboard in this goal scorer market? Logan Stankoven is on a meteoric rise in these Stanley Cup Playoffs with eight goals, double as many as the next-closest skater on the Carolina roster and second most of any skater in the postseason field behind a pair of Vegas Golden Knights, who are tied at the top. Stankoven has been fairly quiet in this series after tallying seven goals in eight games across the first two rounds. While he put just four shots on goal across the first three games against the Habs, he racked up seven attempts last game and scored on one of them to regain his mojo. With the mini slump now broken, the 5-foot-8 stud should remain plenty involved tonight. He has a nose for the net and isn’t afraid to get down and dirty near the opposing goalie either, so +235 odds are pretty awesome given his form in these playoffs.
