These Western Conference Finals have proven incredibly competitive, and perhaps the best player on the court is Victor Wembanyama. The French superstar has announced his presence to the world on the playoff stage, and tonight’s another chance to make an impact as this series becomes a best-of-three.

Make no mistake, Victor Wembanyama is one of the best basketball players on the planet. The 22-year-old just posted a regular season of 25.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game with an NBA-best 3.1 blocks, tacking on 1.0 steals for good measure. That’s flat-out absurd production, especially with just 29.2 minutes a night on a 62.6% TS%. He deserved MVP consideration for helping propel the Spurs into playoff contention, earning the second seed in the Western Conference.
In the playoffs, the 7-foot-4 big man continues to excel. He’s posted 23.1 points and 11.4 rebounds a game with a 53.4% FG% and 37.1% 3P%, good for a 65.2% TS%. He’s also added 2.9 assists, 3.8 blocks and 0.8 steals. San Antonio has largely cruised through the postseason prior to this round, in which Wembanyama has looked incredible.
Tonight, DraftKings Sportsbook lists Wembanyama’s prop bet lines at O/U 26.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.5 blocks and 1.5 three pointers. His combined PTS + REB + AST line comes in at 43.5.
Wembanyama has largely been excellent against the reigning champs this season. Across his nine games in total (including the playoffs), he’s posted 23.7 points, 11.0 boards and 3.0 dimes despite playing just 28 minutes or fewer in the five regular-season matchups. Looking at this series in particular in which he’s received a heavier workload, he’s at 30.3 points, 13.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game with a 52.6% FG% and a 42.9% 3P%. That’s staggering production, especially against a frontcourt that includes Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein.
Wembanyama could post another massive game tonight, especially after dominating the Thunder in a couple of games earlier this series. However, I do think the line of 13.5 rebounds is a smidge high — even after recording an absurd 41 of them over the first two contests of the Western Conference Finals. The superstar stayed under this line in 50 of his 78 total games this season, including the playoffs, so the hit rate here comes out to roughly 64.1%. That’s a very reliable mark, and while Wembanyama has gone over 13.5 boards seven times in 14 playoff games, four of those hits came in round two against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
He’s split this series against Oklahoma City at two games over and two games under. Yes, he saw fewer minutes in the regular season, but he also remained under 13.5 rebounds in four of the five meetings during that schedule. That brings the overall hit rate vs. the Thunder to a solid six out of nine games toward the under, which is why I’m comfortable taking it in this one.
