DraftKings has a new promotion in May. It’s the MLB Grand Slam Payout.
The concept is simple. Opt in and get a MLB Grand Slam Payout token. Use that token on a single wager or for a parlay on a player to hit a home run, and if that home runs ends up being a grand slam, receive a share of $250,000 in bonus bets — or more!
After three straight days without a grand slam, the prize pool for Sunday has climbed to $1,000,000 in bonus bets. With all 30 teams in action closing out Rivalry Weekend, it should be a full Sunday of action. Can someone break through for a grand slam and deliver huge bonus bets?

MLB Grand Slam Payout Picks
Samuel Basallo, Orioles
The Orioles have dropped each of their first two games against the Nationals at Nationals Park, and they will look to avoid the sweep as they take on Miles Mikolas in a favorable spot on Sunday afternoon. Mikolas is 1-3 with a 7.00 ERA and has allowed nine homers in 36 innings. Lefties like Basallo have over half of those home runs with five homers, a .215 ISO and a 14.1% barrel rate against Mikolas on the year.
Basallo has smashed six homers in his 36 games this season and went yard on Saturday, but with no one on base. He typically hits fifth or sixth, which can be ideal for grand slams since players ahead of him in the lineup have a better chance of getting on base. Mikolas has a 1.53 WHIP, so he typically allows a lot of traffic. Basallo is 13-for-32 (.406) during his current nine-game hitting streak and has a 58.3% hard-hit rate, a 16.7% barrel rate and a .487 wOBA over that stretch. He has the potential to go yard in any matchup, and with the wind blowing out and temperatures near 90 degrees, he is in a good environment with a favorable matchup this Sunday.
Angel Martinez, Guardians
The Guardians and Reds are tied for the league lead with 27 plate appearances with the bases loaded this month. While the Reds got a grand slam from Tyler Stephenson, the Guardians are still looking for their first grand slam of the month, and Sunday afternoon could be a great opportunity for them against the Reds and Brady Singer. Singer has allowed 11 homers in his nine starts with a 5.79 ERA this season overall and a 7.04 ERA on the road. Lefties have hit seven of those 11 homers with a .388 batting average, .467 wOBA and 48.8% hard-hit rate against Singer on the season.
I had Martinez in my home run props for Saturday at over 7:1, and he delivered a home run in the seventh that proved to be the difference in the Guardians’ 7-4 win over the Reds. I’m ready to run it back with the Guardians’ switch-hitter again on Sunday since Martinez leads the team with eight homers on the season and has three dingers in his last four games. He has typically been hitting sixth or seventh against righties, which gives his teammates plenty of time to load the bases for him. He has a 58.3% hard-hit rate and 16.7% barrel rate in his last five games in the Guardians’ current homestand. He has hit five of his eight homers against righties and six of his eight homers at home, so he’s on the strong side of both those splits against Singer.

- Place a Single, Parlay, or SGP bet on a player to hit a home run and if their home run is a grand slam, receive a share of $250,000 in Bonus Bets! (minimum $5 bet, maximum three legs for a parlay)
- If the player in your qualifying bet hits a grand slam you’ll win a share of $250,000 in Bonus Bets.
- If no grand slams are hit, the bonus prize pool will carry over to the next day the Promotion is offered.
