When does Euphoria Season 3 Episode 6 drop on HBO and Max?

By: Dan Johnson

Euphoria is down to its final three episodes, and Episode 6 arrives with Rue in the ugliest cliffhanger of the season. The new episode, titled “Stand Still and See,” airs Sunday, May 17 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and streams the same night on HBO Max. Season 3 has eight episodes total, with Episode 7 on May 24 and the finale on May 31.

Episode 5, “This Little Piggy,” ended with Rue buried up to her neck after Alamo’s crew suspected she was working against them. The DEA informant thread has moved from background pressure into immediate danger, and the preview line for Episode 6—“Getting down to business”—makes the next hour feel like a reckoning rather than a rescue reset. Rue is still trapped between Laurie, Alamo and the federal agents who pushed her back into that world, and the show has narrowed her options to survival, betrayal or both.

More on episode six below.

Euphoria Season 3 episode 5 preview

Cassie’s online career exploded after Maddy used Brandon Fontaine’s fame to push her into a bigger audience, turning her subscriber count into money, leverage and a new source of humiliation. Maddy is no longer hovering outside the business either; Episode 5 moved her deeper into Alamo’s orbit as she started helping manage dancers from his club. That means Episode 6 is walking into two converging messes: Rue’s life-or-death criminal thread and Cassie’s attention economy spiral, with Maddy now close enough to both worlds to make everything more combustible.

Endgame approaches.
