The first game of the 2026 NFL season will be a Super Bowl rematch between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks. The two teams finished the regular season with 14-3 records, but it was Seattle that raised the Lombardi Trophy at the season’s conclusion.

Week 1 begins on Wednesday, Sept. 9 in Seattle. It’s still a few months away, but it’s never too early to take a look at the opening odds for these matchups.

What better way to start the regular season than a Super Bowl rematch? Seattle defeated New England 29-13 on Feb. 8, ending last year on a 10-game win streak (playoffs included). The Seahawks can continue this streak with a Week 1 victory at home.

This matchup gets the spotlight, being that it’s the only Week 1 NFL game on Wednesday.
