The Cleveland Cavaliers have a chance to turn an 0–2 deficit into a 3–2 lead on Wednesday night, taking on the Detroit Pistons in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals at Little Caesars Arena.

The Cavs evened up the series by winning Games 3 and 4 at home, thanks in large part to a pair of exceptional performances from Donovan Mitchell. They’ll continue leaning on their superstar backcourt — also featuring former MVP James Harden — with hopes of scoring an opportunity to close out the series in Cleveland.

Tipoff is set for 8:10 p.m. ET. Detroit enters as a 3.5-point home favorite with -170 moneyline odds. Cleveland is a +142 underdog, with the game total set at 211.5 points.

Ahead of Game 5, let’s dive into the top Donovan Mitchell prop bet on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Best Bet: Donovan Mitchell 30+ Points (+132)

Detroit’s otherwise tenacious defense has had no answer for Donovan Mitchell. The seven-time All-Star, 29, is fresh off a monster performance — or rather, a monster second half — in Monday’s Game 4 victory. Thirty-nine of his playoff-high 43 points came after intermission, matching the NBA playoff record set by Eric “Sleepy” Floyd in 1987.

If Mitchell can score more than 30 points in a half, he’s a strong candidate to do it again over the course of all four quarters. In fact, it was his third straight 30-piece against the Pistons — and fifth overall across 11 playoff games.

With James Harden settling into a lead facilitator role this postseason, Mitchell has remained Cleveland’s primary source of scoring. He’s averaging 26.7 points, while attempting seven more shots per game than his three-time scoring champion teammate.

For the Cavs, a win on Wednesday would give them a 3–2 advantage heading back to The Land for Game 6. With a chance to seize a closeout opportunity at home, expect the face of the franchise to deliver offensively and drop at least 30 points for the fourth consecutive contest.
