Rafferty has a 26-0-1 record with 17 knockouts, while Essuman is 22-2 with eight wins by knockout. Rafferty is coming off a majority draw against Mark Chamberlain in August 2025. In Essuman’s last contest, he suffered an 11th-round knockout loss to Jack Catterall.

Before Essuman’s recent loss, he won three straight fights, with his last win coming against Josh Taylor in May 2025. Rafferty’s last six victories have come by knockout as he last won a bout by decision in May 2023. If Rafferty can get back in the win column, he would firmly put himself back in the mix at the top of the Welterweight division.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Rafferty is a -300 favorite while Essuman is a +225 underdog. For this contest, the over/under is set at 10.5 rounds with the over being -180. Rafferty is +135 to win by knockout and +175 to pick up the victory via decision or technical decision.
Even though he is coming off a draw, I still favor Rafferty in this contest due to his power and age. After having a disappointing performance against Mark Chamberlain, I expect Rafferty to enter this fight more aggressively than before, scoring a finish in the contest.
