Munetaka Murakami 1+ Home Run (+224): Murakami tied Aaron Judge for the MLB lead with his 15th homer of the season on Friday, when he was one of the most prop bets. He’s a popular play again on Saturday against Luis Castillo and the Mariners. The left-handed Murakami has 11 of his 15 homers against righties like Castillo this season and has a .347 ISO and .411 wOBA in the splits. He has 10 homers over his last 19 games with a 65.9% hard-hit rate and 22.7% barrel rate. There’s nothing flukey about the 26-year-old’s power stroke, and he’ll look to go yard for a second straight game in Chicago on Saturday against Castillo. The veteran righty is 0-3 with a 6.29 ERA in his seven starts and has given up four homers, three of which came against lefties like Murakami.
Aaron Judge 1+ Home Run (+242): Judge didn’t homer in the Yankees’ series opener in Milwaukee, as Jacob Misiorowski dominated and the Yankees were shut out. Judge will look to turn that around on Saturday night in a matchup against lefty Kyle Harrison. Judge has homered five times against lefties this year with a .385 ISO and .449 wOBA. He has elite power metrics again this year, although his batting average is down quite a bit due to his increased K%. He’s still among the league leaders in hard-hit rate and barrel rate, though, and he’ll be looking to go yard on any mistakes from Harrison.
Juan Soto 1+ Home Run (+256): I covered Soto in my top home run plays for the day, and the public is going with me on this one, since it’s such a juicy matchup against a struggling Merrill Kelly. Kelly has given up six home runs along with 15 walks and 29 hits in just 19 innings this season, and lefties like Soto have five of those dingers. Soto was a popular play Friday but came up empty, but he will be back for another shot on Saturday after hitting three homers in his last 10 games. Soto continues his role as leadoff hitter while Francisco Lindor (calf) is out, giving him potentially more at-bats and better pitches to hit.
