BREAK IT DOWN:
(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Kyle Schwarber 1+ Home Run (+281): Schwarber and the Phillies are on the afternoon slate, facing the Marlins in Miami. Schwarber has hit 11 homers on the season, including three in his last five games. He moved to the leadoff spot on Friday night but went 0-for-5 with five strikeouts. That disappointing showing didn’t stop his team from still winning, 6-5. On Saturday, he’ll look to bounce back against Max Meyer, who has a 3.30 ERA and 3.31 FIP in his six starts this year. He has let lefties hit one homer this year but has held them to a .194 batting average. The public still likes Schwarber to bounce back with a bomb on Saturday afternoon, though, and he brings nice value at almost 3:1.
Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Run (+293): Whenever the Dodgers play, Ohtani is one of the most popular home run props on the board. He has six homers in his 32 games this season, slightly off his pace from the last few years. However, he’s still making great contact and the results should come around. He has a 51.2% hard-hit rate and a 20.2% barrel rate on the season. He only has one homer in his last 17 games but still has a 50% hard-hit rate. He has multiple hard-hit balls in three of his last four games hitting, with an average exit velocity of just over 98 miles per hour. He and the Dodgers face a favorable matchup against Michael McGreevy. The 25-year-old righty has served up five homers on the season, three to lefties like Ohtani. If McGreevy gives him anything to hit, Ohtani has the potential to take him out of the yard and deliver on this home run prop, which brings good value at nearly 3:1 as well.
Munetaka Murakami 1+ Home Run (+269): The fact that his odds are shorter than Ohtani’s and Schwarber’s shows just how scorching hot Murakami has been over the last few weeks. The rookie from Japan has an MLB-leading 12 dingers on the year, and eight of those have come in his last 13 games. During that stretch, he has an impressive .501 wOBA, 69.7% hard-hit rate and 24.2% barrel rate. He went yard in the first game of Chicago’s stop in San Diego, and he will look to add another jack to his stack on Saturday night. He’ll be facing Michael King, who has been very good against lefties this season, allowing just a .132 batting average and one homer in the split. King hasn’t pitched into the seventh in any game this season, though, so Murakami should get some chances against the bullpen as well, and he has been mashing everything he sees so far this season, becoming the latest sensation to crash the popular props page on a daily basis.
3-Pick Same Game Parlay
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a same game parlay (SGP) and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
Kyle Schwarber 1+ Home Run (+281)
Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Run (+293)
Munetaka Murakami 1+ Home Run (+249)
