Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has been ruled out for the Game 7 matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers in what is being labeled a left leg injury. Tatum was not on the injury report as of last night, but was downgraded to questionable this morning with left knee stiffness.
The Celtics leaped out to a 3-1 series lead, but the 76ers have battled back to even things up ahead of this Game 7 matchup in Boston. Tatum deserves a ton of credit for battling back from his Achilles tear in last year’s postseason, but looked to be bothered by some soreness in the other leg during Game 6. Across his six postseason games this series, the six-time All-Star has posted averages of 23.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and 6.8 assists.
Following the injury update, the Celtics have shifted to 4.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook. The 76ers are +154 underdogs, with the game total set at 203.5.
