Best NHL Player Props for Wednesday 4/29/26
Jake Guentzel 1+ Assist (-105)
Guentzel has recorded at least one assist in all four games of the series thus far, and he is tied for the second-most assists among skaters this postseason with six. The 31-year-old leads the Lightning with an 87.5% on-ice goal percentage and came into the postseason notching at least one assist in five of the final eight home games of the regular season. The power play opportunities will be there, too, as Guentzel runs with the first unit, and there have been a combined 39 power play opportunities in this series.
Sidney Crosby 3+ Shots on Goal (-130)
The Penguins have won back-to-back games, and they’ll need their captain to keep the offense moving. Crosby failed to register a shot on net in Game 5, but he still had three shot attempts. He had cleared this line in each of the four previous games, while averaging five shot attempts per game. The veteran ranks second on the team in shots per 60, and he has a strong history against the Flyers, clearing this line in 14 of his last 18 outings against them, which includes seven of his past eight meetings in Philadelphia. Crosby also leads all Penguins’ forwards in ice time, so he’ll have ample opportunities to notch 3+ SOG.
Dylan Guenther 4+ Shots on Goal (-105)
I’m targeting straight volume here, as Guenther ranks sixth in shots on goal (20) and second in shot attempts (44) among all skaters this postseason. The 23-year-old has cleared this line in each of the first four games of this series, while averaging a whopping 11 shot attempts per game. He has scored two goals, too, and leads the team in on-ice expected goal percentage, so I don’t expect him to slow down in the shot department any time soon. Carter Hart has been quite leaky for Vegas, sporting a 3.08 GAA and .886 SV%, and Guenther knows he can likely exploit that again tonight in Game 5.
