Patrick Cantlay has withdrawn from the Cadillac Championship on Tuesday for a reason that has yet to be announced.
Cantlay has been playing very well recently, finishing T7th, T12th and T8th in his last three starts. This season, the former FedEx Cup champion has made 7-of-9 cuts with five top-25 finishes. Cantlay’s next chance to compete will be at next week’s Truist Championship at Quail Hollow, which like the Cadillac Championship, is one of the PGA TOUR’s eight Signature Events, meaning the circuit’s best players will be competing for a $20 million purse.
Replacing Cantlay in the field for the Cadillac Championship will be Michael Thorbjornsen. The 24-year-old has made 8-of-11 cuts and produced five top-25 finishes this season.
