After the team-up event at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, the PGA TOUR is headed to Miami for a brand new Signature Event. The Cadillac Championship will mark a return to the Blue Monster Course at Trump National Doral, where the WGC-Cadillac Championship was held from 2011 to 2016.
As a Signature event, the Cadillac Championship features a limited field event with no cut. The purse is elevated to $20 million total, with $3.6 million as the top prize, along with 700 FedExCup points.
The field is a very strong one, although there are a few notable absences as well. Rory McIlroy is skipping a second straight Signature Event, while World No. 3 Matt Fitzpatrick is not playing after winning the RBC Heritage and competing alongside his brother at the Zurich Classic. Ludvig Aberg, Robert MacIntyre and Xander Schauffele are also choosing to pass on the event.
