I’ve taken today’s most popular MLB player props on DraftKings Sportsbook and broken down exactly why the public is so fond of these, helping you make informed picks ahead of Friday’s MLB slate. However, a couple things to note. First, home run props are by far the most popular market in MLB betting, so I might reach a little further down the list to shake things up on occasion. Speaking of, let’s just assume that a lot of people are betting on Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge and Kyle Schwarber to hit long balls every time they take the field. Deal? Deal.

Munetaka Murakami 1+ Home Run (+257): Look, we’re all pretty simple people. If a guy has hit a home run in five of his last six games, the betting public is probably going to keep backing that guy’s home run props. Murakami has made quite the impression in his first month in the majors. In fact, the former NPB star comes into Friday’s action in possession of 99th percentile marks in barrel rate (24.5%) and average exit velocity (96.0). If you want to just cut right to chase, for four weeks, Murakami has been the Japanese Kyle Schwarber. That’s fun! Tonight presents a pretty amazing matchup, too. Miles Mikolas is expected to work in a bulk role in tandem with a Nationals bullpen that’s surrendering an NL-high 1.66 opponent long balls per nine. It would be hard to create a more ideal scenario for Murakami.
Jose Ramirez 1+ Home Run (+360): I wouldn’t necessarily classify Jose Ramirez as a power hitter. He’s always just been one of the best all-around players of this generation. However, so far in 2026, the infielder is turning up the juice. Not only has Ramirez registered six home runs and a .245 ISO in his first 113 plate appearances of the season, but he’s done so with a career-high .416 expected wOBA. He’s tearing the cover off the ball at the moment. That’s bad news for Max Scherzer, who has conceded 2.04 opponent home runs per nine in his 101.1 regular season innings as a member of the Jays — that includes 2.34 per nine specifically to LHBs. Woof.
Yordan Alvarez 1+ Home Run (+294): Not sure I really need to break this one down all that much. Alvarez comes into this matchup with the Yankees leading MLB in home runs (11) and ISO (.432). He’s also got 100th percentile marks in expected wOBA (.551) and expected slugging (.868). The only thing I’d caution here is that Will Warren has been quite good to begin 2026. Like, “he might be taking the leap” good. Across his five starts, Warren is combining an 84th percentile strikeout rate (29.5%) with a 77th percentile ground ball rate (50.7%). That profile is home run kryptonite. In fact, only three qualified pitchers are striking out over 11 batters per nine with a ground ball rate above 50%: Dylan Cease, Cristopher Sanchez, Gavin Williams and Warren. Not too shabby.
