The 2026 NFL Draft begins tonight! This is a look at where former Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. is most likely to get drafted. You can bet on the NFL Draft on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Omar Cooper Jr. Draft Profile

Omar Cooper Jr. is one of the surging names in this draft class. Cooper is coming off a national championship-winning season, catching balls from the soon-to-be No. 1 overall pick, Fernando Mendoza. Cooper was never considered a real superstar during his time in college, but is ready to be one at the next level. That is partially because he was never the clear WR1 at Indiana. Cooper was firmly in a wide receiver duo with fellow draft prospect Elijah Sarratt. However, as the draft has gotten closer, Cooper continues to rise up draft boards. He has the big, strong frame to succeed in the NFL right away, tied with tangible production numbers and tape from the past two years at Indiana.

When will Omar Cooper Jr. get drafted?

The over/under for when Omar Cooper Jr. will be drafted is pick 23.5. That number is currently juiced to the under as his stock continues to rise. The clear tier one of receivers in this class is Jordyn Tyson and Carnell Tate. After that, the third receiver off the board could be one of several names, depending on whether a team is willing to reach for one of these guys. Makai Lemon is the likely WR3 in the class, but Omar Cooper Jr., Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion are all names that could be called sooner than expected if a team takes a chance on them. How soon Cooper goes off the board is also very dependent on how early Tate, Tyson and Lemon get their names called. There is a chance that Cooper is the top receiver on the board as early as the 12th pick in the draft.

Which team will draft Omar Cooper Jr.?

My best bet is on Omar Cooper Jr. to be drafted before the 24th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. He should be the fourth receiver taken, after Tate, Tyson and Lemon. It seems increasingly likely that Tate and Tyson will both be top 10 picks. If that’s the case, there is a great chance that Lemon is a top 16 pick. That would give plenty of runway for Cooper to be drafted before the 24th pick, assuming he is the consensus WR4 on big boards. My most likely landing spots for Cooper are the Jets at 16 or the Steelers at 21. However, even if he drops all the way to 23, the Eagles might select him there to replace A.J. Brown, who seems increasingly likely to be traded this summer.

Best Bet: Omar Cooper Jr. draft position u23.5 (-160)
