Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Run (+210): Ohtani is in his customary spot at the top of the popular props page. The Dodgers’ slugger hasn’t homered yet in his stop at Coors Field, which wraps up with a matchup against veteran lefty Jose Quintana on Monday. Ohtani is 3-for-7 in his career against Quintana, and all three of those hits have been home runs. Ohtani hasn’t homered in a week, but he has 10 hard-hit balls in his last five games and still has a 20.7% barrel rate on the season. While there was snow at the start of this series, the game-time forecast for Monday is for 75 degrees, and even with a slight wind blowing right to left, Ohtani could definitely get ahold of one and deliver a win in this popular home run prop on Monday.
Yordan Alvarez 1+ Home Run (+446): Alvarez leads the majors with 10 homers on the year and has gone yard in three straight games. He’s hitting .333 with a 21.1% barrel rate and 47.9% hard-hit rate on the year and has swatted six homers in his last 10 contests while going 14-for-40 (.350) with a .554 wOBA and .550 ISO. He’ll face Slade Cecconi in the early evening game in Cleveland, and Cecconi has given up three homers in his four starts this season. Lefties like Yordan hit two of those homers, and last year, lefties hit 13 of the 24 homers he gave up with a .431 SLG. Alvarez is on a power binge, and the public is backing that to continue on Monday night in chilly Cleveland.
Jordan Walker 1+ Home Run (+680): Walker has been another one of the hottest hitters in the league in the early part of the season. He has eight homers and is hitting .305 with a .438 wOBA. Walker is in the top five percentile in xwOBA, xSLG, average exit velocity, barrel rate, hard-hit rate and bat speed. He has a 50% hard-hit rate in his last 12 games and will roll into a favorable matchup against Max Meyer, who has a 4.12 ERA and 42.4% hard-hit rate against him. Righties have hit .296 with a .384 wOBA against Meyer in his career, setting Walker up for more success on Monday night.
