- After an appendectomy, Joel Embiid’s return to the floor remains uncertain. Embiid will miss Game 2 against the Boston Celtics. The Sixers offense will be led by Tyrese Maxey, Paul George, and VJ Edgecombe. All three of them struggled in Game 1, but it is highly unlikely Maxceyt will have back-to-back disappointing outings. Maxey has scored at least 31 points in two of his previous four contests.
