BREAK IT DOWN:

(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)

Victor Wembanyama First Points Scorer (+376): Wemby and the Spurs start their playoff run in the late game, hosting the Portland Trail Blazers. The public thinks Wembanyama will be aggressive off the opening tip-off and score the first points in the game. The Spurs have won the tip-off in 76.8% of their games this season and 83% of their last 30 games. In contrast, the Trail Blazers won 52.4% of their tip-offs and only 40% in their last 15 games. Over his last 12 starts, Wemby has five first baskets, and he has a game-high 12 first baskets on the season. San Antonio typically does a good job winning the tip, and with Wemby looking to put his stamp all over this first-round matchup, he’ll likely be more aggressive right away.

Cade Cunningham Triple-Double (+950): The Pistons take on the Magic in the third game of the day, and the public thinks Cade will get off to a great start to his postseason run. Cunningham averaged 25.4 points, 10.6 assists and 5.9 rebounds in his 64 games this season, leading Detroit to the top seed in the Eastern Conference. He missed multiple weeks with a chest injury but returned for the final three regular-season games. In his 64 games, he posted 38 double-doubles and three triple-doubles. He had a double-double with 30 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in the first matchup between these teams, before posting a triple-double with 39 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in the teams’ second head-to-head matchup. In his third game against Orlando, he had 29 points, 11 assists and six rebounds. This long-shot play comes in at almost 10:1, but if he plays enough minutes and gets enough rebounds, a triple-double is within the realm of possibility for the All-Star on Sunday.

Chet Holmgren Double-Double (+130): The Thunder are taking on the Suns in the first round and host Game 1 at 3:30 p.m. ET. Holmgren to post a double-double is one of the most bet props of the day and comes in with plus-money odds. The 23-year-old from Gonzaga played 69 games this season and posted 25 double-doubles, averaging 17.1 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. He posted a pair of double-doubles in his last two games, but he fell one or two rebounds short in each of his three games against the Suns. If he plays his full complement of minutes in a close game, Holmgren has a good chance of getting a double-double, but his rebounding numbers are down sometimes when his minutes are fewer, based on the game script.

3-Pick Parlay

Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a parlay and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
