It’s time to start growing your playoff beards. The 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs have officially arrived and puck drop on the first game of the postseason lies just a couple hours away. There’s a three-game slate on deck for Saturday that sees the following games take place across the afternoon and evening:
- Senators vs. Hurricanes – 3 p.m. ET
- Wild vs. Stars – 5:30 p.m. ET
- Flyers vs. Penguins – 8 p.m. ET

Tim Stutzle anytime goalscorer (+210)
With less than two hours remaining until puck drop, the Hurricanes have finally announced their starting goalie for their opening matchup against the Senators. It’s Frederik Andersen in the crease, who does not have the kind of numbers you want to see from the guy who’s supposed to anchor your team with the stakes this high. Yes, he’s an experienced veteran who’s performed well in the playoffs during past campaigns, but he’s also in the midst of a career-worst season in 2025-26. Andersen’s GAA of 3.05 and .874 SV% are, well, quite poor. This anytime goalscorer prop is a chalky one, but Tim Stutzle led the Sens with 34 goals in the regular season. While not a high-volume shooter, he’s incredibly efficient with his looks given a 17.5% shooting percentage. Beyond that, he potted three goals in three games against the Canes earlier this season, leading his team in those matchups. Take the chalk here.
Sidney Crosby anytime goalscorer (+145)
We’re avoiding the Stars vs. Wild matchup since the total in that contest sits at 5.5 rather than the 6.5 listing for the above-mentioned Senators vs. Hurricanes game as well as the Flyers vs. Penguins tilt this evening. Looking toward the later of the two, there’s no better bet than Sidney Crosby to put a puck in the back of the net. Yes, this is the chalk play of all chalk plays at +160 odds, but you know the story. The future Hall-of-Famer missed 14 games this season but would’ve been on pace to lead the Pittsburgh roster in goals, potting 29 in his 68 contests. He’s a proven playoff riser over the course of his career, but there’s more reason to feel encouraged about this prop. Crosby also leads the Penguins with four goals in his three games against Philadelphia this season, also notching a team-best 12 shots in the split despite playing one fewer game against the Flyers than some of his teammates.
