WrestleMania 42 begins on Saturday, April 18, and continues on Sunday, April 19, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is the third WrestleMania in Las Vegas and the second straight year Sin City has hosted the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’.
Sunday’s WrestleMania card is headlined by an outstanding showdown between current World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns. The final day of WrestleMania 42 has six matches, one fewer than Saturday’s card. Four title matches are featured on WrestleMania Sunday.

WWE WrestleMania 42 Sunday Predictions and Full Card
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: CM Punk (c) vs. Roman Reigns
Shawn Michaels has been known as Mr. WrestleMania, but that nickname should now be used for Reigns. That is because Reigns is main-eventing his 11th WrestleMania on Sunday, which is the most in promotion history. Although Reigns is still arguably WWE’s biggest star, he enters this match with a lot to prove. Reigns has lost his last two WrestleMania Main Event matches and hasn’t been a champion in over two years.
Punk and Reigns have a lot of history together. Since returning to WWE in 2024, the two have teamed together twice in War Games and faced off in a Triple Threat match with Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 41. Although they have faced each other in tag team matches, they have only had one one-on-one contest. Reigns beat Punk in their lone singles match, which took place on Raw in 2014. This is a legit once-in-a-generation, dream match. Reigns vs. Punk is one of the biggest matches in WrestleMania Main Events in history.
Even though Reigns’ schedule is still limited, having him as the World Heavyweight Champion would be the best move. Reigns could elevate this title and make it not be viewed as a secondary championship. Ending WrestleMania 42 with Reigns by himself holding the title would be a perfect way to end the event. Reigns’ last title run was as a heel, so to win it again, but this time have the fans on his side, would be a full circle moment, as it was what he hoped for a decade ago.

WWE Women’s Championship Match: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley, at 29, is entering her seventh WrestleMania and attempting to win her fourth WWE Championship. She is 3-3 at WrestleMania, with her last win at the event coming at WrestleMania XL. Cargill has held the WWE Championship for the last five months and has had only one title defense in that span. In her career, Cargill is 2-0 at WrestleMania and beat Naomi last year. Although Cargill has improved since arriving at WWE, Ripley’s overall skill set is on a different level. Ripley is not only the most talented women’s wrestler but one of the best, regardless of gender, in WWE.

Singles Match: ‘Demon’ Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio
For the fifth consecutive year, Dominik Mysterio will have a match at WrestleMania. After losing his Intercontinental Championship to Penta, Mysterio and the Judgment Day turned on Finn Balor. This seemed inevitable for a long time, but it still created a shocking moment when it occurred. As a result, Mysterio awakened a different version of Balor, The Demon. The Demon is a character that Balor created many years ago and brought to WWE when he joined NXT. On the main roster, The Demon has made rare appearances, with its last coming at WrestleMania 39 against Edge. Having Mysterio beat this version of Balor has the ability to catapult him even further up the roster.

United States Championship Match: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Trick Williams
Over the last few months, the rivalry between Sami Zayn and Trick Williams has been brewing and finally comes to a head at WrestleMania 42. Even though Zayn only won the United States title a few weeks ago, WWE needs to capitalize on the moment with Trick Williams. From the second Williams joined SmackDown, he has lived up to previous expectations and has gone toe to toe with multiple main event stars.

Singles Match: Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi
Although there is no title on the line, one of the most anticipated matches of WrestleMania 42 is The Beast, Brock Lesnar, vs. The Ruler, Oba Femi. Since joining the main roster, this is Femi’s first match at a WWE premium live event. Femi has a major test in front of him, but he has stepped up each and every time in the past. This match opens Sunday’s WrestleMania 42 card and should set the tone for the rest of the show. Although Lesnar has a wide experience gap, Femi needs this victory more, as he appears to be one of WWE’s biggest stars for the future.

Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match: Penta (c) vs. Rusev vs. JeVon Evans vs. Rey Mysterio vs. JD McDonagh vs. Dragon Lee
The second match of WrestleMania Sunday on ESPN is an Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match. This should be an exciting and entertaining contest. JeVon Evans is making his WrestleMania debut at 21 years old and should be able to create memorable moments at WWE’s biggest event. Even though Penta has only held the title for a little over a month, a win for Evans would be something fans would never forget.
