Tomorrow in Winnipeg, the UFC is hosting a Fight Night event, and Gilbert Burns vs. Mike Malott will headline the card. Burns has suffered four consecutive losses, while Malott is on a three-game winning streak. The Main Card for this event begins at 8:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+.

Burns vs. Malott Over 2.5 Rounds (-105)
Burns is seeking his first victory in over three years, as things haven’t gone his way recently in the Octagon. Malott is 9-1 in his previous 10 fights, and if he can get past Burns, a number could be next to his name in the near future. On paper, Malott has the edge, as he is taller (6’1″ vs. 5’10”) and has a longer standing reach (73″ vs. 71″).
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Malott is a -270 favorite with Burns being the +220 underdog. Three of Malott’s last four fights have lasted more than two rounds, while four of Burns last five contests have entered the third round. With that said, my favorite play in this contest is taking the over 2.5 rounds at -105. At times, Malott has lacked the urgency to finish fights, and he could struggle against a tough veteran like Burns.
Charles Jourdain Moneyline (-135)
Charles Jourdain faces Kyler Phillips in the co-main event of this card. Jourdain is 2-0 with back-to-back submissions since moving from the Featherweight to the Bantamweight division. Meanwhile, Phillips is on a two-fight losing streak, with his last win coming in March 2024.
Jourdain is a versatile fighter, with 15 finishes, including eight knockouts and seven submissions. He is an explosive fighter and has looked more comfortable at 135 pounds. Jourdain averages more significant strikes per minute (5.48 vs. 5.04) while being more accurate (49% vs. 42%) on the feet. Even though Phillips lands nearly two more takedowns per 15 minutes, Jourdain is much more capable on the ground than the stats suggest.
Jourdain is a -135 favorite with Phillips being a +114 underdog in this contest. This event has an over/under of 2.5 rounds, with the over being -210 and the under at +160. If Jourdain continues to use all areas of his game while controlling the pace of the fight, he should be able to extend his winning streak to three against Phillips.
