DraftKings MLB Pick6 Fantasy Baseball Picks: Top Plays for Friday 4/17/26

The MLB season is cruising along. There are far more ways to get involved in the action than just via traditional betting. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Baseball!

Here are my top Pick6 plays for today’s MLB slate.

DraftKings MLB Pick6 Plays

Bubba Chandler Less Than 4.5 Strikeouts Thrown

Bubba Chandler could be in for a tough night against Tampa Bay. This is just the 11th appearance of Chandler’s MLB career, after making his debut in 2025. He is still trying to find his footing, with some up-and-down performances over those 11 starts. He has a solid 3.86 ERA this season, but has given up three earned runs in each of his past two starts, while not providing much depth. Chandler has averaged just 4.2 innings of work across his three starts this season. That is why it will be a struggle against the Rays, as they are one of the most disciplined lineups in baseball. Tampa Bay has struck out just 130 times in 18 games this season, the second-fewest in the MLB.

Tampa Bay also ranks in the top five in the MLB in team batting average and OPS. These guys just get on base, and when they don’t, they at least get the ball in play. Chandler has only struck out four batters in each of his past two starts. Against this steady Rays lineup, Chandler likely won’t go very deep into the game and will struggle to record punch-outs. He should stay under this number for the third straight game.

Ketel Marte More Than 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs

Ketel Marte has been one of the best hitters in baseball over the last couple of seasons. He made the All-Star team and won a Silver Slugger in back-to-back seasons in 2024 and 2025. It hasn’t been a blistering start to 2026 for Marte, but he is finding it over the last few games. Over his last nine games, Marte has three home runs, seven RBIs and seven runs scored. He should keep that going in the series opener against Toronto. Eric Lauer has been dreadful this year, sporting a 7.82 ERA. Last time out, he gave up seven runs against the Twins. Marte has crushed Lauer in the past. In 19 career at-bats against Lauer, Marte has a 1.137 OPS, which includes two home runs. For his career, Marte has a 117 tOPS+ against lefties. He should continue his success against lefties, and Lauer in particular, in this game and get over this number.

Austin Riley More Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs

Austin Riley should be in for a big night in Philadelphia. Riley has been starting to get hot over the past couple of weeks. In his last eight games, Riley is batting .303 with seven RBIs and eight runs scored. He should keep that hot streak going against Taijuan Walker and the Phillies. Walker is once again having major struggles in a Phillies jersey. He has a 7.36 ERA this season and has yet to pitch more than five innings in a start. To make matters worse for Walker, he has never been able to handle Austin Riley in the past. In 15 career at-bats between the NL East rivals, Riley has a 1.079 OPS. Riley should get hits and generate runs against Walker in this game. Even once Walker is out, the Phillies’ bullpen has been subpar this season, with a collective ERA of 4.66. The Braves should score a few runs in this game and Riley should play a big role in that, taking him over this combined prop number.

What is DraftKings Pick6?

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of 2+ players and select whether or not you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.

How to Play

Create a Pick Set

Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice, and you must pick players from at least two different teams.

Enter an Amount

Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.

Sweat Your Picks

When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.

Compete for Prizes

Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
