Invincible has had a serious body count since its very first episode more than five years ago. The show made its mark with surprising character deaths, just as the cult-classic comic books did, and it has hardly let up on that front.

Who died in Invincible Season 4 Episode 7?
Thaedus rallied the troops after the Viltrumite attack on Talescria, convincing the group of heroes to take the fight to Thragg on Viltrum before his reinforcements arrive. Thragg was waiting for them in space, though, ambushing Mark, Nolan, Oliver, Allen, Battle Beast, Tech Jacket and Thaedus by hiding his underlings in the planet’s ring of corpses. Space Racer shows up and takes out a few Viltrumites, as do the Rognarrs he brings. Tech Jacket weakened a few with Sinlak Beetle poison darts, too, opening the door for Allen to finish the job.
Thragg himself, though, was virtually unstoppable. He ripped off Oliver’s jaw and arm, and he also thoroughly handled both Mark and Nolan. Nolan, Mark and Thaedus decide not to fight him head-on, following Space Racer’s laser through Viltrum’s crust and core to destroy the planet for good. Thaedus may not have been able to beat Thragg, but he showed him that the Viltrum Empire as it once was is officially gone.
Enraged after the destruction of his home planet, Thragg took Thaedus’ life. The Coalition’s great leader is dead. Episode 7 was a pretty faithful adaptation of issues No. 75 and No. 76 from the original comic run. Thragg kills Thaedus in the exact same way in issue No. 75 that he did in the show.
Is Invincible alive?
After killing Thaedus, Thragg turned his sights to Nolan and Mark. Thragg uses a Viltrumite Slice to put a hole in Nolan’s torso, then nearly crushes Mark’s skull before pulling back at the last second. According to the Viltrumite leader, there were already too few of their kind left as it was.
Mark woke up back on Talescria two weeks later with Allen watching over him. Nolan woke up the day before, having mostly recovered from his own injuries. Even Oliver survived losing his jaw and arm, although he was unconscious in a tank. The entire Grayson family is still kicking.
What to expect in Invincible Season 4 finale
In a meeting with Allen – now the leader of the Coalition – Telia revealed that they haven’t been able to track Thragg and the rest of the remaining Viltrumites. Mark came to the realization that they were headed to Earth, which was such a big revelation that Episode 7 didn’t even have a post-credit scene.
Since the show has been following the Viltrumite War arc from the comics so closely, Mark’s instincts are going to be right. The war is set to continue back on Earth, where there are a lot of superheroes but also plenty of innocent bystanders. Could the Viltrumites be looking to destroy Earth, or could they seek to rebuild their dwindling population? After all, Nolan was able to reproduce with a human, which was one of the goals of his initial mission there. If Thragg is so worried about the shrinking number of Viltrumites, he probably won’t overlook that fact. And since Eve is pregnant with Mark’s baby, that’s another Viltrumite who could come into play.

Who died in Invincible Season 4 Episode 7?
Thaedus, the head of the Coalition of Planets who is also known as The Betrayer, died at the hands of Grand Regent Thragg. Thaedus not only previously took out Emperor Argall and released the Scourge Virus that wiped out most of his own species’ population, but he destroyed the planet Viltrum alongside Invincible and Omni-Man, as well. Thragg took Thaedus’ life to avenge Argall before beating Mark, Nolan and Oliver to near-death.
When does Invincible Season 4 come out?
The eighth and final episode of Invincible Season 4 will premiere on Wednesday, April 22. The season has been running since its triple-premiere on March 18, airing one episode each Wednesday since.

Will there be another season of Invincible?
