Harold Perrineau’s Boyd Stevens perhaps said it best in From’s Season 4 trailer: “We’re running out of time, and we still don’t know the [expletive] rules.”
While that’s true, we at least know more going into Episode 1 of From’s fourth season than we did going into the first episode of Season 3. (Right?) Still, there’s a lot to take stock of before the new season begins.
When does From Season 4 come out?
Season 4 Episode 1 will premiere on MGM+ on Sunday, April 19. The episode is titled The Arrival. Like episodes from previous seasons, the Season 4 opener should have a run time from 45-60 minutes.
As was the case with the prior three seasons, Season 4 of From is set to have 10 episodes, with the last set to drop on June 21.

Everything You Need to know Before Starting From Season 4
Season 3 opened with Tabitha back in the normal world at a hospital in Camden, Maine. That massive development was the catalyst for countless more questions, which eventually led to even more confusion as the season went along.
Here’s a look at what went down with each character last season:
- After waking up in the hospital, Tabitha met Viktor’s father. Following a car accident, the ambulance that picked the two of them up wound up in the town. But, it doesn’t end there with Tabitha. We also learn that she’s been dreaming of the town her entire life. And if that wasn’t enough, she’s a reincarnation of Viktor’s mom, who was also a reincarnation of another woman, who was married to Jade in a past life. The two continue to return to the town after failing to stop other townsfolk from making horrid sacrifices in a previous life.
- Tabitha’s husband in this life, Jim, was taken out by the man in the yellow. Yet, Jim is seen in the trailer for Season 4 (see below).
- While multiple main cast members seem to be losing it, no one seems to be struggling more than Boyd. Among other things, he left Randall for dead — just when Randall started to clean up his act — and the monsters also made Boyd watch Tian-Chen (Kenny’s mom) perish at the hands of the terrifying creatures.
- Also on Boyd’s list of stressors is his daughter-in-law, Fatima, having a tumultuous pregnancy (that was at one point deemed false). After eating a ton of rotten vegetables and taking out Tillie, she was kidnapped by Elgin — who was under orders by a ghoulish woman only he could see. As Boyd and Ellis come to her rescue, Fatima gives birth to a non-human-like entity, which is taken and quickly evolves into the monster that Boyd had killed in Season 2.
- Julie can time travel — we learned in Season 3 that she was the one who saved Boyd from the well in Season 2.
- Acosta is a wild card who’s caused problems since her arrival.
- Viktor is talking more and more about his past, revealing that he survived a massacre by staying in the very root cellar that Fatima wound up in by the end of Season 3.
- Donna has somehow remained the voice of reason.
- Last, and certainly least, Dale, that annoying dude who tried to go through one of the Far Away Trees, and wound up embedded in a concrete wall in the town pool. (He will not be missed.
