The NBA regular season has concluded, and the play-in tournament is now underway. Tipping off at 10:00 p.m. tonight, the Golden State will be squaring off with the Los Angeles Clippers. The winner of this matchup will square off with the Phoenix Suns for an opportunity to play the Oklahoma City Thunder in the opening round of the playoffs, while the loser tonight will kick off their offseason.

The Los Angeles Clippers made some surprising moves at the NBA trade deadline, sending out James Harden and Ivica Zubac to change the identity of the team in a major way. Bennedict Mathurin has been a major bright spot of the return and made the most of his basketball freedom with his new team. Across his first 26 games with Los Angeles, Mathurin is averaging 17.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. He has scored 15+ points in 17 of these 26 games played and in 36 of his 54 games played overall. The standard point prop for Mathurin is set at 11.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook for this matchup. But a cold-shooting stretch to end the season created some value here. The Arizona product averaged just 9.4 points per game across his final seven games, including being held to five or fewer points in three of these games. But Mathurin closed the season with a 20-point performance to get back on track and expect his scoring output to be necessary in this matchup tonight.
Game Total Under 221.5 (-112)
When you think of the Warriors, you assume plenty of three-point shooting and high-paced scoring. But this year’s Golden State roster ranks 22nd in the league in scoring at 114.6 points per game. This is just ahead of the Clippers, who rank 24th in the league in scoring at 113.8 points per game. The game total went under in all four regular season matchups between these two sides, finishing with final scores of 98-79, 103-102, 114-101, and 115-110. Both these teams lack the necessary level of offensive options outside of their stars and the high-intensity play-in atmosphere set to further increase the quality of defense. Expect this 221.5 game total to be too significant and for neither team to have a clear path to scoring at a high rate.
Steph Curry 4+ Made Three-Pointers (-171)
It is commendable that Steph Curry even battled his way back to return to the floor and be available in this matchup. The two-time MVP has suited up for 43 games this season, posting averages of 26.6 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.6 rebounds. Curry is shooting 39.3% on three-point attempts, while launching 11.3 perimeter shots per game. He is averaging 4.4 made three-pointers per game and has made 4+ perimeter shots in 29 of his 43 games played. This includes three of the four games since he returned from injury. The Clippers rank 22nd in opponents’ three-point percentage allowed. Count on the Golden State making it a clear priority to create perimeter looks for their superstar and for Curry to deliver.
Draymond Green 12+ Rebounds & Assists (-120)
The entire Warriors’ organization will get a lift from Curry’s return, but this is especially true of Draymond Green. He is a drastically different player when playing with and without Curry, and he will return to his proper role. Expect Green to have success attacking the glass against a Clippers team that ranks 29th in rebounds per game. He will also serve as the primary playmaker for plenty of dribble handoffs as Curry leans on his off-ball movement to get free. The four-time All-Star tallied a season-high 12 assists during one of the regular-season matchups with Los Angeles. Green is averaging 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game, and Golden State will call on his championship DNA as they fight to keep their postseason opportunity open tonight.
