The first night of the NBA Postseason played out in dramatic fashion last night with a pair of close games, one of which went to overtime. Tonight, we get another two-game slate with the Philadelphia 76ers taking on the Orlando Magic in the early window. With Joel Embiid out after having an appendectomy last week, the Sixers’ season is in the hands of Tyrese Maxey this evening as he looks to punch his team’s ticket into the No. 7 seed in the playoff bracket.

Here are the top Tyrese Maxey prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday’s 76ers vs. Magic game in the 2026 NBA Play-In Tournament.

Best Tyrese Maxey prop bets

This has been the year in which Tyrese Maxey claimed the mantle of superstar. The sixth-year guard has averaged at least 25 PPG in each of the last three seasons but bumped that number to a career-best 28.3 PPG while playing 70 of 82 possible games. With Joel Embiid and Paul George missing significant stretches of the season, Maxey helped shoulder the load in even more impressive fashion than last year, also posting a career-high 6.6 assists a night. Beyond that, his 1.9 steals were good for fifth among all players.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Maxey’s prop bet lines sit at 30.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2.5 made threes. His combined PRA line sits at 41.5.

If you want an absolute layup of a pick, look no further than over 5.5 assists. Yes, the odds on the over aren’t great value at -148, but the hit rate Maxey has shown in that regard makes this an excellent builder play for parlays. He’s dished over 5.5 dimes in 47/70 total appearances, good for over 67% of the time. The defense is sure to key on him plenty, and while he’ll likely get his points, he’ll be forced to pass out of double teams and such at a regular rate. His 12.2 potential assists per game fall inside the top 20 in the league, and beyond that, Maxey handles a 31.2% usage rate without Embiid this season. While his assists average when the big man is just 5.7 per game, he’s still over this line as well.

If you want to combine that with another really reliable line, consider parlaying over 2.5 made threes with the assists. Maxey shoots 36.7% from beyond the arc with 3.1 3PM per game on the year, knocking down at least three shots from the perimeter in 40/70 appearances. With 8.6 attempts a game and his primary costar sidelined, Maxey should get plenty of volume as he tries to punch a playoff ticket tonight. Putting these two bets together gets you a slight +150 parlay.

Best bet: Tyrese Maxey over 5.5 assists (-148)
