The Suns are hosting the Trail Blazers for a Play-In Tournament matchup Tuesday. The winner of this matchup will advance to the playoffs as the No.7 seed in the Western Conference, whereas the loser will face the winner of Wednesday’s Clippers vs. Warriors game to decide who will be the No.8 seed.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Phoenix is favored by 4.5 points and this game carries a total of 218.5 points.
Let’s dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Tuesday’s Play-In Tournament matchup between the Suns and Trail Blazers.
Best Suns vs. Trail Blazers Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Dillon Brooks U 18.5 Points (-105)
Brooks is averaging a career-high 20.2 PPG this season, but this number is misleading, as the veteran played most of his games with Jalen Green sidelined. Brooks, Green and Devin Booker will all be active for this Play-In matchup and in the 10 games these three have played together this season, Brooks is averaging 15.9 PPG with a 25.2% usage rate, which is a notable drop from his 28.6% average for the season.
Brooks has also been rusty since returning from an 18-game absence due to a broken hand. The veteran returned on March 31st and in his first six starts back, Brooks has only scored more than 15 points once. The wing is shooting 38% from the field over this time and another major concern for Brooks is this matchup with the Trail Blazers. Portland has had Brooks’ number this season. He has only scored 12 and 11 points in his two matchups with the Trail Blazers while shooting an ugly 29% from the field.
Scoot Henderson O 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-126)
Assuming Jerami Grant (calf) remains out, Henderson will be a strong bet for this over. The guard has started in seven straight games in place of Grant and Henderson has knocked down three-pointers in five of these games. During this stretch, Henderson is averaging 2.3 made three-pointers on 5.7 attempts per game, resulting in 40% from distance.
Role wise, Henderson is logging 29.4 minutes per game and handling a 22% usage rate with the starting role. The Suns are strong at defending outside shooters, ranking second in opponent three-point percentage this season (34.7%), but Henderson hitting multiple treys in this spot is still likely.
Mark Williams U 8.5 Rebounds (-140)
Williams hasn’t been great on the glass this season. He’s averaging 8.0 rebounds per game, after averaging right around 10 per game with the Hornets for back-to-back seasons. The big man just returned from a near month long absence due to a foot injury. He fell short of 8.5 rebounds in each of his first four games back.
Over this time, the center is only averaging 9.6 rebound chances per game, which is very low relative to this 8.5-rebound prop line he carries for this Play-In matchup. Williams has finished with six rebounds or less in two of his three meetings with the Trail Blazers this season and he is an awesome bet for under 8.5 rebounds Tuesday.
