Following an incredible Masters Tournament, the RBC Heritage is the next stop on the PGA Tour calendar. Plenty of the top players from the field at Augusta National are headed to Harbour Town for this great tournament.
This is a look at the best first-round leader bets to make for the event on DraftKings Sportsbook.
RBC Heritage: First Round Leader Picks
It was an incredible week at Augusta National, with Rory McIlroy winning his second consecutive green jacket. McIlroy won’t be in the field this week at the RBC Heritage, but World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will be. Other top players like Xander Schauffele, Cameron Young, Tommy Fleetwood and Ludvig Aberg will be participating in this event as well. The defending champion here at Harbour Town is Justin Thomas. Harbour Town Golf Links is a par 71 course, which ranges 7,213 yards. This is the fourth signature event of the season, meaning there is a limited field and no cut.
Scottie Scheffler FRL (+1125)
The World No. 1 came up just one shot short of a playoff with Rory McIlroy at the Masters. Scheffler had not been playing his best golf heading into Augusta. Scheffler won his first start of the season at The American Express. However, he had been a bit rocky (by his standards) since then. Even over the first two days of the Masters, he was not playing great golf. On the weekend, however, he looked like the best golfer in the world. He stormed up the leaderboard on Saturday and Sunday, putting pressure on Rory McIlroy to finish strong on Sunday afternoon. Scheffler ultimately came up one shot shy of a playoff, but he should feel great about his game coming to Harbour Town.
Scottie Scheffler won the RBC Heritage in 2024. In his two other starts here, he finished 11th in 2023 and eighth in 2025. He has consistently been excellent here, even slipping on the plaid jacket once. Harbour Town is a ball striker’s paradise, and nobody strikes it better than Scheffler when he’s on. Scheffler has also been spectacular with his short game this season, ranking third on the PGA Tour in Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green. Normally, I wouldn’t bet on the favorite to lead after the first round, but Scheffler could be unstoppable this week after his fantastic weekend at Augusta National.
Matt Fitzpatrick FRL (+2900)
Matthew Fitzpatrick is also a former champion at Harbour Town, winning the RBC Heritage in 2023. Fitzpatrick knows this course very well, with 11 career starts here. The Englishman has also been playing fantastic golf so far this season. He has made the cut in all eight tournaments that he has played in. Over his last three starts, he has been on another level. He finished in second place at THE PLAYERS, won the following at the Valspar Championship and had a solid T18 finish last week at the Masters.
Fitzpatrick’s ball striking has been excellent this season, ranking seventh on the PGA Tour in Strokes Gained: Approach to Green. He has also been excellent off the tee, ranking third in driving accuracy. Fitzpatrick will stay out of trouble and give himself birdie looks in this first round. If he can roll in a few putts, he has a great chance to go low and lead after Thursday’s round.
