“The Gypsy King” Tyson Fury makes his return today against Arslanbek Makhmudov. This fight is the Main Event of today’s boxing event on Netflix. This is Fury’s first fight since December 2024, when he lost to Oleksandr Usyk. Makhmudov enters this contest with a 21-2 record with 19 knockouts. The Main Card for this event begins at 2:00 p.m. ET, and the Main Event is expected to start at 5:00 p.m. ET.

Fury is a former WBC Heavyweight Champion, but hasn’t won a fight in nearly two and a half years. His last victory came in October 2023, when he beat former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou. Fury’s last win against an experienced boxer was in December 2022 when he beat Derek Chisora via 10th-round TKO. The 37-year-old is aiming to get back in the mix for massive fights in the future, and a victory is needed in this contest for him to do so.
Makhmudov last beat David Allen in October 2025 and is currently on a two-fight winning streak. Although Makhmudov has been the more active fighter in this contest, his recent opponents aren’t on Fury’s level. Yes, Fury is coming off two losses and a two-plus-year layoff, but he is still among the most talented fighters at Heavyweight. In Fury’s 18-year professional boxing career spanning 37 fights, he has only lost to one opponent: Usyk.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Fury is a -600 favorite while Makhmudov is a +400 underdog in this contest. The over/under is set at 8.5 rounds, with the over being -125 and the under being -110. Fury is -175 to win this fight by KO/TKO/DQ. Fury has a massive height advantage, standing three to four inches taller (6’9″ vs. 6’5.5″) than Makhmudov. Four of Fury’s previous five wins have come by knockout. Also, Makhmudov’s two career losses have come by knockout. With that being the case, my favorite play in this bout is getting Fury to win by KO/TKO/DQ at -175.
