Picks, Best Bets for UFC 327: Prochazka vs. Ulberg

By: Ryan Wohl

Tomorrow night in Miami, Florida, UFC 327 takes place at the Kaseya Center, home of the NBA’s Heat. Former Light Heavyweight title holder Jiri Prochazka battles Carlos Ulberg for the Vacant Championship in the Main Event. The UFC 327 Main Card begins at 9:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+.

Check out my three best bets for Saturday’s UFC 327 numbered event below.

Jiri Prochazka Moneyline (-115)

Since losing to Alex Pereira the second time, Jiri Prochazka has won back-to-back fights by knockout against Khalil Rountree and Jamahal Hill. Prochazka is 32-5-1 with 31 finishes in his MMA career. In the last 10 years, Prochazka has lost only to one person: Pereira.

Prochazka has another elite fighter to get past in Carlos Ulberg. Ulberg is on a nine-fight winning streak and is the latest City Kickboxing product to try to win a UFC title. Ulberg last knocked out former title challenger Dominick Reyes, earning him a title shot. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Prochazka is a -115 favorite while Ulberg is a -105 underdog.

Although Ulberg has fought talented fighters, Prochazka is on a different level than his previous opponents. Ulberg lands more significant strikes per minute (6.54 vs. 5.69). But Prochazka has the intangibles to succeed in this bout. Prochazka thrives in chaos and has a pace that few in the sport can keep up with. The former champion isn’t the most defensively sound fighter, but he seems to pick up steam in a competitive fight. Yes, Prochazka is 1-2 in UFC title fights, but he seems more prepared entering his fourth championship bout.

Azamat Murzakanov to win by KO/TKO/DQ (+200)

Azamat Murzakanov is ranked No. 6 at 205 pounds and is working his way up to a title shot. He is 6-0 in the UFC with five knockouts and has a perfect 16-0 record. Although Murzakanov is quite undersized for Light Heavyweight, he has made up for it with his incredible power. He is taking on an unlikely opponent, Paolo Costa, who is moving up to 205 pounds. Costa last beat Roman Kopylov in July 2025.

Murzakanov is a -205 favorite with Costa being the underdog at +170 in this contest. With that being the case, I’m taking Murzakanov to win this bout by KO/TKO/DQ at +200 because of his tremendous knockout prowess. Costa lands 1.56 more significant strikes per minute but absorbs over three more from opponents. In his career, Costa has faced talented fighters, but Murzakanov’s power at 205 pounds will likely be too much for him to handle.

Aaron Pico to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission (+120)

Aaron Pico returns to the Octagon to take on Patricio Pitbull in the featured Prelim of UFC 327. Pico and Pitbull never faced off in Bellator, but the matchup will come to fruition in the UFC. Pitbull is 1-1 in the UFC and beat Dan Ige in his previous bout. Pico suffered a devastating knockout loss to Lerone Murphy in his UFC debut. The winner of this contest will put themselves in a good position for big fights moving forward in the Featherweight division.

On paper, Pico has the edge, as he is taller (5’8″ vs. 5’6″) and has a three-inch reach advantage (70″ vs. 67″). Both fighters are versatile and capable on the feet and the ground. But Pico is likely the more powerful striker and the better all-around athlete. Pico is a -278 favorite while Pitbull is +225 to pick up the victory. Since 11 of Pico’s 13 wins have come by submission or knockout, it is better to get him at +120 to win by finish.
