We have a massive 15 game slate on our hands tonight as we wind down the season. We’ll be tipping off at 7 PM EST with the Heat visiting the Wizards, and closing with the Suns visiting the Lakers at 10:30 PM EST.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Tyrese Maxey More Than 29.5 Points
Tyrese Maxey let out a sigh yesterday in Houston as we all did. The words “Joel Embiid surgery” appeared on a notification on his phone. Yeah, it’s that time of year again.
Maxey will once again have to man this ship on the eve of the 2026 NBA Playoffs. Embiid will likely be sidelined for at least three weeks, meaning that it’d take a small miracle for this Sixers team to make it through the first round without their star big man. Unlikely, but possible. Maxey will resume handling some massive usage, as evidenced by his 20 FGA last night in Houston, of which half were from three point land. We know the 25 year old is capable of handling large workloads, too. He’s leading the league with 38.2 MPG and will be in for a healthy haul the rest of the way.
Indiana’s as free of a matchup as you can get currently, since they have nothing to play for. The Sixers, on the other hand, want to put this away quickly and easily.

James Harden Less Than 22.5 Points
The Hawks are rolling right now on both sides of the ball, posting 109.4 DEFRTG and 120.1 OFFRTG in their last 15 games, which is a tremendous mark for an up and coming threat in the Eastern Conference. Tonight’s game is important for both teams, as the Cavaliers hang just one game behind the third seeded Knicks. The Hawks are tied with the Raptors for the fifth seed in the East. Tonight’s game has huge seeding implications for the playoffs, and we can expect a near-playoff atmosphere in Atlanta tonight.
The Hawks will prioritize shutting down James Harden’s offense tonight. It’ll be tough to deny him his customary eight or more assists, but there’s plenty they can do to slow down the Beard, whose scoring prowess has waned in his age. And his role in Cleveland doesn’t demand high volume scoring nights, either; he’s responsible for breaking down defenses with his handle and stepback threat.

LaMelo Ball Less Than 21.5 Points
Ball has turned in two straight games in which he’s scored over 34 points, against Minnesota and Boston. Tonight’s matchup is a bit more difficult, however, as he’ll face the Detroit Pistons, who hold a 108.9 DEFRTG on the season. Ball’s scoring hasn’t been elite by any stretch this season. It’s been an impressive campaign for the Hornets, no doubt, but Ball is only averaging 20 PPG, which is his lowest since his rookie season. There are many mouths to feed here. Kon Knueppel takes 13.4 FGA per game, as he deservedly should. Brandon Miller is taking 16.1 FGA.
Given the tough matchup and Ball’s role on this team as a distributor, it’s difficult to envision him continuing his streak against one of the best defenses in the league.
